Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Well, Skyrim Nexus is up and running already. I don't know whether to get the game right away and play it or wait for the awesome mods to come out.

I've tried to start this game twice now...each time I do I switch the invert y-axis to on and the game freezes when it saves......on PS3, incredibly frustrated.

i dont know why, but i cant use my Ancestors Wrath power that i got for choosing a dark elf

i select it but it wont equip on either hand....anyone know how to get this spell to work?

You use R2 to cast those powers.

Also killed my first dragon. I've explored a decent amount of the North, East, and southeast. Haven't been to a single western town yet.

the game is tits. i been running with a companion through the quest im on for about 2 hours and he has not been a problem at all like alot of reviewers had mentioned. is he acting perfect? no, but he is playing better than they did in new vegas

i've played a ton but haven't gone further than Whiterun. deeply exploring every bit of area/towns i've been to.

trying to do this one quest back near Helgen. gotta kill this thing that looks like a Harpy but they call it something else. don't think I'm gonna be able to do it with how quickly it wastes me and my comrade + a summoned zombie.

Yeah I'm at Bleak Falls Barrow, in the dungeon. I was just going to skip this quest but the main quest sent me right back to this spot. I can get all the way to the room with the three pillars and lever, but can't seem to find this damn spider.

 

there's webbing you have to cut through to enter the boss chamber...

thats pretty much how i am playing. i couldnt imagine having explored almost all areas of the map besides the west

i have only really messed around in the 1st little town where the main quest takes you...then did the bleak falls quest. I play real slow and look in every corner

just had my first freeze on a reload. fml. i guess that's a sign to stop trying to kill this bloody asshole.

Did anyone else notice when you have to go into that building at the start to get your hands freed and start the "tutorial", that you can also follow the guy you rode in to town with, the stormcloak.

Didn't notice that at first but trying out that "path" now.

yeah i realized there had to be another way when you finish the first quest and it says "follow X or Y to the keep" (can't recall their names)

save anytime, anywhere.

don't rely on autosave...but i suppose you wouldn't know that if you haven't done a game like this before.

you can easily lose hours of gameplay if you are forgetful. I'd also rotate through 3-4 different save files, just in case.

I just walked to each town just to see what the different areas were like and see stuff along the way. I've barely been in any of the things I've passed though, I just want to see what all the towns look like. I have explored Whiterun quite a bit though and its sort of my main area at the moment. Anyone else get a Rohan vibe from that place?

If you need armor or weapons, I can't stress enough how great being able to use the forge is. Just buy your own supplies and make stuff rather than spending out the ass to buy it.

Found my 2nd set of sacred words for another shout, just need to find another dragon to make them official. Found it in a dungeon up North. I can give hints on the where abouts if wanted.
