Holy shit lol I came into this thread to see what all the hype is about and y'all are talkin nerd speak.

Is this game fun for a guy that likes sports games/mw3? Need something to occupy my time and I got a Gamestop giftcard. Might just wait for something else but shrug.

I think it's a game that anyone could pick up and enjoy but you have to have some sort of love for RPGs. This game has a huge world, huge story line, magic, vampires, werewolves, elves and Dragons! Perfect ingredients for a bad ass RPG.

Yea, my journey to Winterhold was a long one. I kept getting distracted with stuff I came across on the way there. Like I mentioned earlier tho, found my second set of Shout Words on the way.

Yeah I got involved in the Gray Mane/Battle Born feud in Whiterun and sided with the Gray Mane's. Battle Borns sending thugs after me n shit.

Surprised some of you guys walked, I just hitched a ride on the carriage. I'm sure I'll explore the inbetween eventually.

The dragon aspect of this game is what truly puts it over the top. I left Whiterun and headed toward some nearby keep for a misc quest. Wandering through the woods just enjoying the piss out of the scenery, the chirping birds, local wildlife.....SCREEEECH. Nigga wut was that. Mother fucker just flying around the sky yelling up a storm while I'm cowering in a copse of trees trying to find the first way the fuck outta there.

Just so fucking cool how the dragons aren't scripted.

So if you do smithing at the blacksmith set ups can you improve weapons regardless of their type? That would be pretty sick considering I've been using swords/bows/arrows based on if they match my character's looks or not...

Found this to be cool.

The book cases in purchased houses actually work. You activate one, add books to it, and when you're done they all neatly line up on the shelf.

In one of the castles (I think whiterun, dragonsreach) there's a huge open area where a guard is practicing archery. You can pick up all of the arrows he shoots at the target and he seems to shoot there infinitely. Good if you need a few arrows/gold/or you're just a cheap fuck.

 

Tip on Sprinting..

When you leave just a little bit of stamina it starts recharging instantly when you stop sprinting but when it runs out completely, it takes 2-3 seconds to start recharging.

i was gonna hitch a ride but decided to walk to check things out. i cam across a few things, but not much and did not really explore the area. It was just walking.

the coolest thing was a campsite....

 

there was a giant there and that fucker killed me with one punch and knocked me up into the air. i just kept going up and up until the reload screen started. he gave knew definition to the phrase you got knocked the fuck out

same issue ...but just keep heading towards the arrow on your compass. it wasnt hard to find. that spell will get you going in circles if your not careful
