I think this might be a part where all of us have passed, but for some who like to make multiple characters, found this tip. Haven't tried it yet though, will on my second Character eventually.
At whiterun , there is inn which iwhich called bannered mare. you will see a female warrior there , uthgerd , she offers you a punch fight. , win it , she is going to be your companion AND HERE IS THE THİNG : Open trade dialugue with her and get her house keys. Now you have a home in Whiterun without having to spend 5 k.

i have her and her keys. there is also a companion whose keys u can get in riverwood (that 1st town u goto after the tutorial). there is a quest from some guy who wants you to give a letter to some chick that pretends to be from some other guy. If you tell the girl the truth, then go talk to that other dude, he will become your companion. I used him on the golden claw quest
i can not confirm if you can use there home for storageComment

so ive never really played RPGs since the NES days, i liked the fallout games on ps3. Im not big on hand to hand combat, id prefer more ranged combat. I know very little about this game, i know everyone loved morrowind and oblivion that i talked to.
Is there a class for a RPG noob that would be an enjoyable playthrough with 50 pct or less hand to hand combat. id prefer ranged similar to guns would be in fallout , although i realize there are no guns in this type of game. I watched some videos on youtube, dude had the lightning hands like Raiden fighting the frost troll, but it seemed to drain very quickly.
I loved just exploring fallout 3's map, this game seems to have a ginormous world and i think i would have fun exploring it. Is there any "fast travel" type function or are you walking everywhere every time?
Thanks to anyone who can help with the noobness.Comment

At least try it, this kind of game is a "game of the console generation" kind IMO.
The exploration aspect is fucking incredible, this game is so god damn gorgeous.
I can tell you if you want to try being a magic user, it's a ton of fun and not that complicated. I'm throwing magic left and right and never using weapons AT ALL. So if you want to play that way, you can.
Changing spells with the "favourites" menu is really easy, so you have a whole arsenal of shit at your fingertips.Comment
