Killed my first wild dragon and some other neat shit happened.

So I take a caravan to Dawnstar and when I arrive it's night time, I then wait about 8 hours. When its morning about a minute after a dragon lands in the town and starts attacking. I kill it, but soon die right after by a group of Hired Thugs. I was like wtf, so I reload and the same shit happens after I wait 8 hours; dragon appears and more Hired Thugs. This time I was ready and killed them, though. Apparently some whore named Olfina Gray Mane put a hit out on me. The hit contract one dude had read, "I expect you to faithfully carry out my request to teach a lesson to the thief Maximus. You need not kill him, but I have no qualms about it if you deem necessary." People are going to start dying now.

I was working the Thief's Guild questline list night and accumulated over 1,500 pounds of crap I had to carry to the closest barrel near a fast travel location I could find. Ended up dropping it into a barrel at the Solitude horse stables. I wanted to get on today and complete the quests before my wife got home from work, but I spent all fucking day transporting my goods to sell. You can't fast travel while encumbered. So it took me all fucking day fast traveling back and forth to sell all this shit to my fence. Worth it in the long run, upgraded my armor & weapons, paid for my enchanting to get up to 55, and I still got some reserve. But fuck that's a lot of loot I just unloaded on the Thief's Guild. I'm making those fuckers a lot of money, they better like me!

my new favorite spells are the bound bow and bound sword. who needs to carry a bow or a sword when you can just create one with a spell? not only does it increase your conjure skill, but also your archer and one handed weapon skill. the perks work for them too. just unlocked eagle eye and it works with my bow

also bought some higher level destruction spells. Chain lighting, fire ball and ice storm....SWEET!

Parents name child after ‘Skyrim’ character

Here's a good way to ensure your kid gets his lunch money stolen on a regular basis.

Meet Dovahkiin Tom Kellermeyer. That's right, Dovahkiin. As in, the protagonist of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Born 11/11/11 -- the same day that the game was released -- he's made his family the winners (?) of a contest that ensures free Bethesda games for life.

Bethesda, in a publicity stunt announced in February, promised lifelong free games to anyone who named their child (which had to be born on 11/11) after the character. Whether the company expected anyone to take it up on the offer is another matter entirely.

Megan and Eric Kellermeyer did just that, though.

In a blog post, the parents acknowledge the name could cause their son some issues, but say it's one they truly love and likely would have chosen even if Bethesda hadn't launched the contest.
"I wanted him to have a unique name," writes mother Megan Kellermeyer, who adds that she's not a gamer. "I am so picky about boy names that I was having a lot of trouble finding just the right one. We've toyed with Dovahkiin and the ramifications of naming a child that name, and that name being based on a video game character (however awesome), and what impact that would have on him. But the more I thought of it, the more I settled on Dovahkiin, contest or no."

Dovahkiin's parents say they told friends and family members of their decision before their son was born and very few raised concerns. And with a more common middle name, he'll always have an out.
"He will have a perfectly normal and common middle name if the first name becomes too much for him or us or we just want to call him a nickname," says Megan.

Still, there are some upsides to the name, despite the almost inevitable playground taunting it will likely engender at some point. For one thing, how many kids have their own theme song?
Plus, there's that whole 'free Bethesda games for life' thing, which is pretty rad. Unless, of course, it turns out that he doesn't like video games.

So my Two handed skill is 63, however in the skill menu it says its 25 but the number is colored red. Anyone know what this means? I checked and I don't have any diseases or anything either. Also my health bar numbers on the skill menu are colored green.

edit- And now it fixed itself. Still not sure what is was.
