Another thing: Hitting has been really effective when you get the right angle and timing, but I feel it won't do much once you have high balance. I've hit people perfectly and they just bounce around or fall to their knees. Going to start poke checking like I should more often. Works a lot better and you don't have the chance of wiffing like hitting can do to you.

Thing is, go watch really hockey and that is all that happens. Hitting is not about knocking the guys head off or putting him through the glass, it is about taking the man out of the play. We got so use to every big hit in video game hockey, that now when, IMO, more realistic hits happen, people find an issue with it.
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

I'm not one of those guys lol. I like the idea of having to know when to hit him (timing, angle, etc).

But in terms of NHL in a fun sense? Hitting is 10x more fun than poke checking.

Thought I'd add this as well, as it has happened twice to me.

To those little bitches who quit before 2 minutes.....thanks for the free and quick win

EA finally got rid of the 2 minute warning, so now if you quit before 18:00 of the first, it counts as a loss to you and a win for the other team. And the best part, all the stats count. I sniped a goal under the crossbar last night 1:33 into the first. Leaf and our other guy picked up the assists. They quit. Score on our screen says 3-0 DNF Win. My goal counts, their assists count. We also got all A's across the board, because of it, and I got a game added.

The only negative is that you can't shell the goals on these badies, but with the game so new, getting that quick W in under 5 minutes is great when trying to get to the next level.

We laughed about it last night because people get down a goal and instant quit because of last year, yet they have 58minutes to score ONE goal to tie it up.

              PS3 BaP offline 18yo LW --- Are these normal XP accumulations after a 2G, 4A, +3, 3checks, 2intimidations, ? O= 38 D=39 A=33

It just seems like it'll take for fucking ever to improve my 68 OVR player.

Also, my game said I unlocked some skating boost, but they all appear locked...

We got 3 regulars, leaf, myself and our friend. KG and Fappin play when they can. Waiting for our other friend to stop being a dick and buy the game.

What league are you playing in? And is this just one game, because if so, you need to raise up the level of play. 6 pts in a game is lol.

If you are in Jrs. It is hard to level up your guy. But also in NHL it is as well because they are not throwing XP at you so after your first season your a 91 OVR.

                  .

Nice. I might join this website that does leagues. Should be fun.

I don't know what to be on defense though, defensive d-man, offensive d-man, or 2 way forward. Right now I'm a 2-way forward but I never go on break aways, never dangle, and never get up close to the goalie. May switch to Defensive D-Man if I'm pretty much only taking slap shots and playing defense.

So apparently you can do ANYTHING while playing defense around the crease with no repercussions....this is ridiculous.

Honestly thats the way it should be. Stops cross creasing which I think we've all noticed at this point has gone way down.

I agree but when I'm skating through the crease and I get hip checked completely away from the play that should be a penalty.

Its hit or miss. We had some games where the ref never put his whistle away. I honestly dont mind it. My guy is so fast anyway I just skate around everyone who wants to try hip check bullshit on me.

I started on PRO, but my team mates wouldn't do shit. After I bumped it up to All Star, they played more solidly, but the CPU still just takes the puck away anytime they get remotely close & my team mates are still fucking retarded w/the puck. They head to the boards & wait for the CPU to pin them & take the puck away instead of dumping it back behind the net. I don't want to play on Superstar cuz the CPU will be crazy good.

I'm thinking about changing to a playmaking center cuz my sniper LW does 100x more dishing than receiving.
