I also see Japan is getting a silver Vita.

Also, it looks like it will cost less to download these game than it is to buy the hard copy on disc.
EDIT: Soul Sacrifice will have its own Premium Bundle with the game and a special skinned Vita (kind of like the GOW Red PSP.
EDIT 2: Valhalla Knights 3... looks like another RPG that looks like Dynasty Warriors with multiple troops on the screen at once.Comment

Another High School Kids Fighting Monsters RPG?
I am SHOCKED.
Setting looks like it's in Industrial Era with some fantasy mixed in.
EDIT:
New Game from Bandai.
"Gundam Breaker"
Fight with giant Gundam Suits from the various series it looks like.
Up to 4 players can play at once.
And you can parts together your own Gundam.
Game plays on Vita and PS3.
Maybe you can play it through both at the same time?Comment

God Eater 2 from Bandai.
From what I remember from the original, you built your dude or dudette from the ground up like Monster Hunter and fight giant monsters.
Something to do with being a regular joe fighting against corrupt Gods or something.
Adhoc and can play via the Vita or PSP or both.Comment

Dragon's Crown
New 2D Fantasy Fighter (looks like upgraded Golden Axe) from Atlus (guys who did Persona).
Multiple characters to play as (saw a knight, a dwarf, a witch, etc.)
Combat system based on damage points (hit a dude, point total pops over their head).
EDIT: Final Fantasy X HD Bundle.
On a white Vita?Comment

So the basics were a price drop for the Vita in Japan and games shown at TGS already for the system.
JRPGs mostly.
Nothing Western-based (other than them dropping Uncharted for Vita into the PS Store as well as Ridge Racer and I think Dynasty Warriors as well on top of other games I couldn't make out).
Also, if you buy a Vita over there now between now and mid March, you get 3 months of PS+?
It's an improvement.
EDIT: Also, the bundles, and new Ice Vita and Soul Sacrifice Vita.
If you needed something other than Matte Black and are willing to import, you have options now.Comment

Can someone please explain to me why the Japanese are considered so much more intelligent than Americans are? They buy and play the same fucking games over and over. Yes, we have shooters, and CoD in general (which is basically the same shit, different year), but all they ever care about are mech games, Monster Hunter
(and various MH clones) and turn based RPGs. Give me a fucking break.
No wonder so many significant Japanese developers left their companies to explore new opportunities. They were saying Japanese gaming is still stuck in the early 90's and stagnant as fuck.Comment

The East is centralized towards shared transportation and the like and that means long train/bus/plane rides.
What better game to eat up time than an RPG that supports adhoc and online?
Especially if you have to grind, gain experience and craft stuff from encounters that may or may not drop rare loot?
It works for them and why should they change for the general public? The minority that want to branch out to more Western games already do so and they don't have to cater to them as much.
Sounds the same as over here with your COD example.Comment

Given the culture, it sells for a reason.
