From what everyone is hearing, reading, experiencing, what seems to be the best difficulty to play on this year. I haven't heard the crying over Heisman this year as I have in years past.Comment

To each his own. I find them entertaining to read...as long as they are done well. BDawg, Hellisan and DeeGeezy are the best to read. However, I just don't have the time to do them anymore. However, I still have a blast shooting the breeze and talking about little nuggets of info of what is going on in each person's dynasty.Maddon & Friedman: Pissing off the AL East since 2008

I have only played one game. It was on default Heisman and I liked the way it felt. I also played a half of USF (me) @ Notre Dame since that is USF's opener this year. I played that on AA and was up 14-3 in the second quarter. At half I was down 17-14 lol. I still think I am going to stick with Heisman for right now.Maddon & Friedman: Pissing off the AL East since 2008

IMO....AA with sliders to your liking. FYI it usually takes playing 1 or 2 seasons to really see what is working and what is not for slider adjustments. Opinions now, when the game is brand new are usually useless.Comment

Last year on AA with sliders I lost like 2-3 games vs the CPU but had a bunch of close games and a bunch of blowouts. What usually happens is after year 4-5 and all the players are hand picked by you....your team really starts to flourish and the CPU stays the same. Then maybe a slight adjustment can be made then.Comment

Too cool for school.
Many people state AA provides a better challenge than last year.
I suppose it's personal preference to your skill set and what you want the CPU to be doing, but it seems there's less cheating on the Heisman level from early indications.
CPU is still weak at managing the game, the clock and special teams from what I've seen. Unfortunately these items drive me mental as I believe they impact playing the CPU more than the communities give credit to.Comment

From what I've read (and saw myself in demo) I'd say Heisman seems like a true tough difficulty for the most part. I never saw myself, but Virix was saying the "one handed jump LB int" is still alive and kicking. Otherwise on Heisman I saw safeties looking like they were user controlled making plays without warping around the field.

I personally couldn't care to read other people's unless it was someone with quality writing skills that added other elements to enjoy. Looking back on my own was enjoyable though, but in the end more work than worth it IMO.
If you tweaked the passing game so it wasn't so easy to take advantage of the god cam (seeing the field) and instantaneous reactions (button press throwing mechanic) then it could remove the need for the LB jumps.
My own take on passing..
Although EA/Madden abandoned the throwing cone I think that could have evolved into a more realistic passing system. Imagine you line up pre-snap, and are auto looking at your primary (with the cone) or at the line you can choose who you want to focus on first. After snap, you cycle through your targets by pressing their normal buttons, causing your cone to snap over to them, very simple yes? Then you have like LT or RT or whatever as the "throw" button. This eliminates the goofy RS mechanic that didn't work, but keeps the benefit of having "QB vision".
Bringing that back would eliminate the need for LB super jumps because the unrealistic ability to distribute the ball anywhere, instantly, would no longer be present.
Just my 2 cents on passing.Comment

On the demo, Varsity was WAY too easy. AA is about right for me, but the CPU plays formations differently if you've chosen the option instead of a pass...lolComment

At the end of the day, it needs to be changed to accommodate the years people like us have logged to master it.Comment

I also wish having that 99 OVR LB/CB/S had more impact than the 99 OVR HB/WR/TEComment
