Ok, so what is the deal with Zero's special skill? When I activate it am I just supposed to melee enemies? It doesn't seem to last long and I'm not getting one hit kills with it or anything.

At the beginning, melee does the most damage while the decoy is out, but as you level up, you can invest in other damage multipliers like crit bonuses.

Just a shit-ton of electiricity grenades (no idea about the collateral damage but...), explosions and robot ass-beatings all around.

This was with two Axtons, a Maya and a Zero so who knows what happens if Salvador loses his shit with electric guns on that area?
