True but retail will be mostly unchanged. Its not like EA pulled a new game out of their ass since May (supposed demo date)

I could only play 2 and a half quarters last night...this thing made me want to vomit, I hated it so much. Ugh....

And did anyone else notice how Lovie Smith looks like Gary Coleman?

Some of the stuff people are talking about (Peppers getting a sack untouched) is stuff that we'd see in real games, so maybe now we're at a point with Madden where some of the stuff we complain about is the same stuff a coach would complain about when watching game film after an actual game.

I'm pretty sure lineman don't spin around in circles in real life.

I think that after the freshness of the cutscenes wears off and the presentation in general, the same problems and complaints will surface.

The game plays well , as did '11 but after playing a couple of games it no longer seems fresh. Its just another Madden. Its a football game, not a great one, not a poor one. Albeit, the only one really.

Its a demo, but I don't see the regular game being better. Like I said before, maybe its the camera being out so far and perception is alot of the presentation.

I will still buy the game, I always do and always have.

Although not as graphically aesthetic, 2k8 still plays better.

I don't think Madden 11 was playable, especially after they ruined the defense with those tuner sets. 2k8 is still the better game of football, but judging by the demo, Madden 12 is finally at least comparable.

I ran a delayed blitz with one of the Packers linebackers, walked right past the C, RG and Forte to sack Cutler. They were all blocking no one and didn't even make an attempt to move towards me. Was pretty LOL.

The more I play this demo the more I like it. Not only does the gameplay feel solid, which is the most important thing, but I love the little touches. The grass stains on unis. The way certain players, like Cutler, actualyl move. And as much as I hate the Packers, seeing Rodgers do his championship belt move after running in for a TD was fucking sweet.

I knock things but I like it too. I actually look forward to the release.

I know this is just a demo and I can't wait to be able to change the damn camera LOL

I do like the pregame camera work, the shaky cam I guess you could call it. I just hope there is variation.

The grass stains are nice, welcome to Madden 05 PC, but of course its done better here.

But with all that said, there are still Madden quirks that I don't like but I can get over it.


Here's to hoping the Lions are better this year so I can actually play with a decent team for once.

I don't like the camera pre-play. Like after the plays called they have a closeup sideview and I have to move the left stick every play so I have a chance to do what I need to do.

I wish Madden would just copy NCAA's controller setup. I hate Madden's preplay crap.
Not a big fan of the default camera either ... too far out.
This game is gonna require a lot of slider work.

You mean the strategy pad? You can turn that off and make it like it is with NCAA. Just go into options and there's something that says strategy pad quick links or something, and all you have to do is turn it on. Then it's the same audible/hot route system as NCAA.

It's not the same, you still have to use the strategy pad.

Demo was starting to piss me off. You can't double team Clay Mathews or Julius Peppers with a TE and T unless you use slide protection which means my HB would have to block, and block a DE or OLB on the other side which makes me extremely nervous. Whenever I have a TE block to their side the T to that side does nothing and Peppers or Mathews vs a TE obviously isn't gonna work. So this part has annoyed me to pieces. I can't get solid protection with either team.

Definitely gonna need some sliders to play the CPU though.

That is what you call game planning. Pick your poison. You want to slide protection to the strength of the defense? Better have a good backside blocker in you RB. All realistic, not to mention you named to of the best defensive players in the league. Never easy to block them.
