One thing I meant to post earlier...did anyone else feel a little bummed at the fact that from about the midway point on, there were no surprising combat situations?
Waste high barriers EVERYWHERE? Here comes Hunters! Bottles and bricks literally ALL OVER THE GROUND (even in this science lab)? Look out for 'dem infected!
It's a small issue that in the end took away nothing from the game for me, but it bummed me out a little.

This sounds exactly like one of Twigg's complaints about Bioshock: Infinite with the tears being present when you were about to have an encounter.
I personally didn't notice what you're talking about though.

I certainly didn't intend for it to sound like something Twigg has said about Infinite
I definitely noticed it, but stuff like this rarely bums me out, because it's a video game. If anything, noticing it helped me prepare myself for what was sure to be an intense situation.
don't real this unless you've beaten the game. just gonna put some excess text in here to prevent the spoilerd stuff from showing up in ispy, cause it's fucking irritating that it shows it there. so many tv/movie/game spoilers ruined cause I use that fucking....anyways...
Anyone think a sequel is possible, perhaps a ps4 one? There was no closed ending and clearly infected will remain a threat. You advance maybe..3-5 years in time? Ellie grows up a bit, someone comes to Tommy's town that knows what happened in Salt Lake, she finds out Joel lied and leaves. Thus it begins? I would guess Joel is 47-50 in this game, so another couple years doesn't age him out of being incapable of continuing to be a badass. Since infected remain, logically they can continue to evolve into more dangerous types, etc. Thoughts?

I think it took away some of the suspense. During the beginning I was so on edge that I had trouble playing for more than an hour at a time.

Yeah they didn't go for much surprise, it was cookie cut but they surely hid that quite well that most wouldn't really see.

They've said that Joel and Ellie's story is over (although we all know they could easily go back on that statement), but that there's many more stories they could tell within The Last of Us universe. I would not be surprised to see another game.
With as successful as TLoU has been, I think some sort of sequel is a given. We'll see what manner of one. I feel like I recall reading that there will be SP DLC too?
