FF8 is the best in the series. I remember being so annoyed by having to chase King Cactuar around Cactuar Island. He was super easy once I caught him, though.

Figuring out which switches to hit down there drove me fucking crazy. So you never got Bahamut... one of the best GFs in the game behind Gilgamesh/Odin and Doomtrain.

Yeah, I beat Bahamut. I got stuck at the bottom at the hidden save point just before Ultima Weapon. I had to beat Ultima to get out of there and I never could do it.

Those hidden non-essential bosses were always assholes. I remember trying to fight Ultima Weapon towards the end of the game thinking it would be a good way to boost XP and then he murdered me in about 5 seconds and I never tried again haha

I played that fight maybe 25 times in two days. Came so close 2 or 3 times to winning the whole thing before dying. My resolve was defeated.
