This time, I can do a Renegade and Paragon runthrough, start to finish, and be able to fully appreciate the series as a whole.

      Yeah. ME1 I beat 3 if not 4 times. ME2....fuck, 5 or 6?

It's always hard too. I'll start a session and be thinking "okay, just focus on the story stuff and plow these series out in 20 hours". *20 hours later I'm just arriving at Noveria cause I decided to do everything, as always*

It got so bad for me to the point where I went online and found out the exact sequence/mission set you needed to do so everyone would survive on my ME2 runs.

More specifically the suicide mission because I had done everything up to that point, DLC/side missions/etc., just to get ready for it.

Nerve racking to say the least.

ME3 for me was more of the same, with the added threat of Reapers running around in the solar systems containing stuff I needed for the finale.

Squads of Turian, Salarian, Asari, Krogan, Volus... you name it, I probably had it.

And now I'm willing to add everything you get to do in ME1 on top of all that, all over again.

Reading through the last few posts makes me want to fire this series up again.

I really need to get a few more play throughs of 2 and 3 before I even think about the original.

Yeah, I kind of want to kick you guys in the balls for talking about these 1-3 playthroughs lol. Too many games piling up to even start thinking about this.

ME1 is in my console. I had already planned to call in sick Mon/Tue cause I had some extra sick days leftover. Guess I know what I'm doing.

I'll see you all at the finish line.

Barring a composite thread for all things Mass Effect, I'll just post where I'm at right now:

I'm in the Citadel, more specifically the Presidium.

C-Sec Officer Not-Garrus and Big, Stupid Jellyfish #1 are giving each other shit about the right to preach the message of "The Enkindlers."

Not-Garrus says dude has to buy a license to spout his nonsense; Jellyfish say he shouldn't pay because while he's spreading his message, he's not technically telling anyone to believe in the crap he's saying.

After scanning all of the Keepers in the Council Chambers and the Presidium (minus the Consort's Office and Chora's Den, I run back to give my two cents.

Basically I flim-flam the Jellyfish into leaving because while he is a street preacher, the Enkindlers would probably rather he do something better with his free time.

Like get a job and stop being an asshole.

He agreed and I got a free Level, more XP and some credits to spend on Space Pachinko.

                Life is good.

More business with Cdr. Jay Shepard:

After my business with the Jellyfish and Not-Garrus, I went to go see the Consort because...

                      Why not?

And in exchange for another notch on the ol' Space Rifle, I gotta calm down a retiree named Septimus.

Sounds like another Not-Garrus that got some DNA mixed up with a Transformer.

                      Should be fun.

Also got to talk to Barlo Van and even saw a giant Krogan statue that looked like somebody made the subject of the piece wear a Smurf Hat.

No way they could fit that angry ass Space Turtle into a tiny mushroom hut.

I went Fem Shep for this one. Infiltrator. On Hardcore. Taking my time to move around, going into deeper dialogue to absorb into the game but obviously won't move through as fast.

Nilhus just died, on my way to the spaceport to get the Prothean beacon. Seeing the Reaper ship for the first time and watching it take off from Eden Prime is still a thing of beauty.

Cdr. Jay Shepard, savin' the Galaxy... Space Station... Parking Lot?

Given the nature of the Citadel being the tutorial area/place where you pick up Garrus, Wrex and Tali, the rest of the place seems like cake so far.

Shot a couple of thugs in the face getting to Fist was interesting but the conclusion of that story path seemed lacking...

I brought Ashley and Garrus with me because Space Bros and Space Hoes until I can get to Liara later on.

...also, because I knew that if I brought Wrex, while satisfying in the fact that he'd put in a new golf course where Fist's head used to be, I wouldn't get the info I needed to find Tali later on.

                          Big picture stuff, really.

After I got the info though, Fist learned the true meaning of the holidays as I gave him a new bullet retainer to chew upon.

Fast forward a little more and I've diffused diplomatic tensions between Gen. Not-Garrus, Self-Doubting Elcor and Space Jenna Jameson; got an informant back to her sister while bringing down a tech smuggling ring; and have more gear than I know what to do with.

Still need to find two more Keepers to scan for a guy who may or may not be trying to kill his business partner; stop an A.I. from going Die Hard on Space Nakatomi Tower; get it in with Space Jenna Jameson; and get ready to go and stop Saren from killing everyone...

                          ...should be fun.

Cdr. Shepard gets his parking validated -

After finishing my business with the Consort (I prevent an intergalactic dust-up involving the Not-Garrus', Space Jenna Jameson, the Volus and Insecure Elcor and all I got was a lousy key chain...), I wrapped up all the unfinished business that I could before leaving.

No more cheating at Space Blackjack, the Keepers are all scanned and thanks to the Space Jail Bait named Tali proving Saren is an asshole, I'm now a Spectre.

...also, I got Notch #1 on the Space Rifle, so there's that.

Will ask Chakwas for V.D. meds later.

Now it's off to get Liara because while Ashley's hip to firing all manner of weaponry, I like my Space Opera with more variety.

Cdr. Shepard learns what snooping around gets you:

So I'm off to search for Liara first because Shepard loves him some space bitches.

And because she "important in the role of helping bring down Saren... ZZZZZZZZZZzzzz..."

I heard off to where she's located and I come across a few areas I can scan for minerals and such; I've played this series, I know there's dumb space rocks to collect and now I get to drive this bitchin' Mako I've only heard about online.

The damn thing's great when you want to go forward or jump enemy fire.

Rest of the time, like hitting reverse for instance, the Mako sucks.

But I venture on to exciting new worlds and find a mummified Salarian who got lost; getting his tags made me grin in remembrance of playing BF3 but I had to keep going...

...into a goddamn trap with a THRESHER MAW hot on my heels.

I'm not even Level 15 yet and this sonofabitch wants to eat me and my crew... so I drive in circles to avoid this psychotic, 50-foot-tall Space Worm and I bring him down for some much needed XP/credits/gear.

                                -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Later on, I'm driving across Therum, wasting a Geth boarding party as they get in the way of the almighty Mako.

A few bodies later and I'm off to the facility at the end of the overworld map where I encounter Tree Frog Geth (Read: ANNOYING), some rocket troopers, and a Geth Armature that kills me not once, but twice.

Reloading sucks but the galaxy needs me and now I find myself in a giant tube with Garrus and Ashley.

                                I'm sure we'll be fine...

                                "Fine" is a relative term.
