How is that not a catch 22? You need an internet connection to be able to NOT play with an internet connection?!?

So then we're back to not really owning what we purchase, even if we buy the physical disc at a store?!?

I guess the 1% nuclear submarine man will have to visit a friend for an hour. I'm assuming they had this feature on the console and simply didn't want to spend the hundreds of man hours reversing everything. Quite possible it only applies to launch consoles.

. Remember, this is all a worst case scenario speculation by me and nothing to do with MS.

You'll own the game though, there will just be an "extended gameplay" feature for those with an internet connection. Very doubtful this all happens, but it's something I would consider if I'm MS.

From how I understand it you can't play Forza 5 at all without an internet update.

"Greenawalt added that the download is required content to run the title.... Xbox One owners can begin playing the game while parts of it are still being downloaded."

Games you literally can't play if you don't have internet.

Something you would consider if you want to lose a huge chunk of your consumers. Yeah, that sounds awesome!

How does that even remotely sound like a good idea? That's about 1000 times worse than companies like Capcom locking away "DLC" on a disc. Now you're telling me it would be a smart move to lock away actual core content that only people with constant connections can access?!?

But somehow Primtime thinks this is great for consumers and gaming in general.

I'm sure he's referring to the title update that all launch xbones will need. You won't be able to play ANY game, let alone Forza 5, without the update.

I consider it for the future of gaming. I'll gladly take a 1% dip in early sales to unlock the advantages of knowing everyone is always connected to the internet.

Huh? Those games have pretty extensive single player modes.

MP in the sense that a lot of the set-ups and paint schemes you can buy are online, its how you make extra forza bucks (or spend it)... also need to be online to DL the vehicle packs too...

He's simply saying one of the main high points of the series is the online features.

I still find it funny that the DRM is such a big issue on our INTERNET forum. Not a single person here....0% will be effected by the reversing policies again(hopefully they do).
