Go talk to anyone that fixes RROD'd 360's. They'll tell you 90% of them are from not a poor design, but people just misusing them and either putting them on carpet or near other stuff and thus collecting dust. We can all use excuses.

Well based on you response you have no idea what thermal paste is at this point. Takes a bit of time to melt away. Not a month later like the RROD. There is a reason the failure rate has consistently held at ~10%. No need to even discuss the 360 failure rate

        My PS3 got YLOD'd after 6 weeks

Unfortunately, my roommate at the time had his 360 die the next day.

my launch PS3 is still going strong, and the abuse includes lugging her big blk ass to the homes of certain females who already had a Big Blk Ass... big blk Ass Squared is what Im sayin...

          never once YLOD'd...

dont think I know of anyone on my XBL friend's list who never got a RROD, it's almost a rite of passage on XBL

1 RROD out of 3 Xboxs. I don't think any of my friends through college didn't get the RROD. I've had my PS3 since Uncharted 2 launced and haven't had any hiccups.

I intentionally broke my first 360 so they would send me a newer, quieter model while I was still under warranty. I duct-taped all the vents up and basically let it melt. No fucks given.

I'm assuming this is why the power brick is not in the console itself. Watched the extra room for airflow.

My launch 360 never RROD'd. I've seen plenty of other take a shit though, followed by the walmart swap.

You should buy a lottery ticket ... right now. I'm on my 4th 360.

About half of the launch 360s failed. Terrible problem, but over-exaggerated.

50% is in no way over exaggerated . That is exactly what the failure rate was before they put out a newer model that many were forced to buy again
