What a clusterfuck, Microsoft is proving why we didn't even need a new gen anyway. Or at least how unready they were. So basically all they have left is a Xbox 360 that can flip between games and TV for you.

On the bright side, I found this whole process very entertaining. These entire situations are controlled by mega corps sitting on 100's of millions, people who are paid 7 or 8 figures....

Here is what scares with Kinect 2. If they made 2 bundles, one with it and one without they would need to advertise and show us why we want the peripheral. So far I have not seen anything about the Kinect 2. Instead they are just shoving it in the box and forcing us to pay for it.

Why dont they show something kewl pertaining with the new camera? Probably because they may not be anything?

I was at gamestop and on the TV they were showing a zombie game that will eventually come exclusively to XB1. Game looked really awesome, they were talking about how there would be 3x as many zombies as the previous game. Cool, but then they talked about how they would integrate kinect into the game. The kinect would listen to the sounds around the room and if you bumped into something or made any noise the zombies would hear you and come after you so you have to game quietly.

That's my problem with it. They want you to buy the thing on the promise that there will eventually be content that will make you want to use the Kinect, but after seeing things like Kinect Star Wars and Steel Battalion, I'm nowhere close to being sold on it as anything other than a hands-free remote. I'd rather have the option to pay less now and buy it after developers start proving its worth by releasing worthwhile content.

As far as I'm concerned some of his stuff released during this period should go down in Video Game history. Especially the one with him breaking the Kinect.

So, where is the delight that people get out of mocking Microsoft changing everything that pissed people off? Why does it exist? The delight should be that they're doing it, not at their expense.

I particularly like the posts popping up now in the gaming world where gamers are now disappointed that MS didn't stick to their guns. Hard to imagine why gamers in general get considered immature almost constantly.

I agree with the first point, but the part about people being upset they've switched policies is completely rational. Some people want the future of gaming, not the PS3.1 and the Xbox 361.
