The common sense reason would be that someone cancelled/didn't fulfill a preorder considering a lot of stores gave you until near Christmas to pick them up.

Not likely. There isn't a store on Earth that gives you a month to pick up a pre-order. Common sense my ass.

Where I live, green box Xbox Ones can be found easily. Frankly, I don't even care if I got a green or black box Xbox One ... is the only real difference achievement points?

Walmart gave me until December 27th. Soooooooooo yea, they do.

All you had to do was place 10% down on the console and the day one edition was yours unless you failed to pick it up by December 27th. This was for PS4 too so they gave you a week extra to scrum up the funds. I'm sure there are plenty others here that preordered from stores that could tell you similar.

Here is a post from Walmart corporate giving you a month for PS4 and 3 weeks for XB1. My receipt gave me until the 27th. Only reason I remember that is because I thought it was nuts that they'd cancel the order right after Christmas instead of right before.

Provide a 10 percent down payment – $40 for PS4™ and $50 for Xbox One.
Make payments over time or in full when the console becomes available.
Pick up the console on the launch date. Walmart will hold pre-ordered consoles for customers wanting more time to pay it off until December 13, 2013.

richmond va.....no boonies. the target is across from a mall. best buy is a block away. i think there were 2 of them. i was walking past the case and saw them. they had at least 8 xbones in stock.

My receipt is moot at this point though. It's pretty clear it was an unfulfilled preorder.

4. Max: TCOB

Max: TCOB is excellent. I have a limited interest in Trials although I know it's popular. The other two look awful from the gameplay videos I've seen.
