Mandatory Kinect sounds terrible. In addition to being a peripheral that I have no interest in, it's going to increase the cost of the console.

When I read that Kinect part I was pretty much turned off right away. If thats true than the next XBOX is a no go.

My living room setup is kinda small for the current Kinect, I wonder if this new version will fix that.

I think that we will see a drastic reduction in first day, and even full-price purchases. Without the option to buy the game used, many people will just wait out the price drop. Its not going to hurt the big exclusives and the huge titles like Madden and GTA, but everyone else will feel it.

Ok,so the bit about Kinect sounds a little ridiculous, no? Why would it be a separate entity but have to be plugged in for the console to function? Why isn't it just built into the console itself? Unless another iteration of their god awful power brick is incorporated into it?

And let's all hope that if this is true M$ supports the fucking thing far better than they did the original Kinect. All they did was market the shit out of it and sold millions of them only to not make any games for the damn thing. If it wasn't for third parties that thing would've been the next NES Power Glove.
