Thought this was a good comment from that reddit link about it, along the lines of Houston's point:
People think they were forced to pull this feature since they cancelled DRM....no. They pulled the feature because they KNEW it'd be the last straw, the final nail in the coffin when people discovered this bait & switch BULLSHIT.
Microsoft simply isn't willing to be honest with consumers. You know why they had such a hard time explaining this feature to consumers? It's not because it's extremely complex. It's because they're too nervous to tell the truth - they would rather you just buy the machine then find out everything you dislike about it, rather than the other way around.Comment
