VSN MLB THE SHOW LADDER

Even with no lag, my pitcher sometimes misses by a mile. I try hit the corner and he puts it 2 feet outside. And then throw in the fact that I just suck sometimes at hitting the pitch meter, and you get some wild pitches.

One thing I do suggest is that we play all ladder games with strike zones OFF. I accepted 2 games with strike zone ON, and it does have a tendency to make you want to nibble at the plate more since you can see exactly where the zone is for each batter. I don't like it.

The ladder rules on the front page say stirke zone on or off, and difficulty HOF or All Star.

Houtz needs to change that.

Hey houtz, anyway we can get all of the guys PSN ID's in this thread. Maybe first post.

I was trying to add some guys and there ID's were not found....


My .02 cents on strike zone pitching. I agree that it should not be down the middle all the time but with the lag that sometimes creeps up there should at least be more strikes than balls. I played Jax last night and it was fun because we were trying to hit the strike zone most of the time. Even with guys on base.

If it was out of the K-Zone I knew it was because of the control not because we were trying to throw blatant balls all night. That is just a little more sim in my mind and more fun which is really the point of playing ladder games.

By the way, has anyone else tried to hit against Zack Greinke online? He's got a weird delivery where the ball seems like it gets pitched out of his elbow and there's a split second longer delay in picking it up than with other pitchers. Add in the fact that he has a 97mph fastball, and 73 mph curve....yuck. Not sure if his motion is glitched or just deceptive, but I don't like him.

sorry to have created such a stir on page 6...I was venting had a bad night at the plate chasing pitch after pitch...I did blame myself first before going on my diatribe. nuff about that!!! I like the rule of everything off and have NO PROBLEM playing anyone on VSN...like I sed when I came here I'm looking for sim. Nowhere did I say or will ever say or PLAY strikes only thats gay! Sorry starting to go back into it and I dont want to go down that path again...

moving on...the wife will be out tonight so I will be gaming tonight after 9 or 10pm EST and I'm taking on all comers

no worries brotha....alot of the conversation about strikes only stems from our league and has nothing to do with anything you posted. I was just confused by the way you worded things in your post

i havnt come across anyone on VSN that plays like an east room baller. yeah you see the ocasional pitch way high, outside or in the dirt, but i look at that a few ways.....1, real mlb pitchers do this from time to time....2 - lag.......3rd would be missing the accuracy line and 4....the pitcher is just wild

everyone i have played is a sim baller.....i dont care what a guy does as long as its sim style.....
