Raise the Jolly Roger in Pittsburgh! Pirates hang on to win a close 2-1 pitcher's duel along the banks of the Allegheny. Zach Duke outdueled Johan Santana to earn the win. NY got on the board first when Carlos Delgado hit a solo HR. The Pirates played some small ball and rallied to score 2 runs on a few bloop hits. Matt Capps came on in the 9th to get the save, but he made things interesting as he gave up a 2 out double to Daniel Murphy. Then David Wright took him to deep center, but McClouth was just able to track the ball down to secure the Pirates victory.

I try to pick the team color of the winning team, and that was the closest to Pirate gold. But it was unreadable so I changed it. :hand::vogel:

GG. The Tigers had a 3-1 lead until the bottom of the 6th when they turned the ball over their bullpen. There wasn't much relief to be had there as Bonine promptly gave up 3 runs on 6 hits over 1 inning of work.

I thought the rally would end (again) with Varitek at the plate since he's pretty good at leaving guys on. I was glad you went to the pen. Jackson was giving me fits.

Did you notice how much trouble i was having with Jackson's control? It was getting pretty bad, once I walked Elsbury on 4 straight pitches I had to aim pretty much at the middle of the plate and wait to see where it went lol.

guys i dont mean to complain but i can put my stick down til its 3-1 on almost every batter in my few VSN games so far...i kno its my job not to swing but im getting a little annoyed with it. I can play Lobby games if thats the case...lets step up our pitching games fellas NOTICE I DID NOT NAME NAMES SO DONT RESPOND TO IT...just lets step up our games to make the experience a lil more fun for all and not just yourself.

dude are u serious? u pumped fastball after faster dead center and your complaining...I never claimed to throw nothing but strikes but considering the amount of K's your had LOOKING i would say i was throwing a VERY good mix of pitches...I truely hope u weren't trying, cuz if so then maybe this isnt the place for you...i had a wild first inning with Peavy and then was fine but u thru EVERYTHING down the middle from the 2nd or 3rd inning on. I continued to play my game and try to work you fair and you refused to play. Don't come here crying cuz u quit down 1-0 after 1 bad inning of pitching...sheesh somebody school this cat on who I am please...off the list u go after u flat out quitting on a game!
