That's not the point. The big games allow the little games to exist. It's just like movies. Kingdom Hearts wouldn't exist if it weren't for big names like, oh, I don't know, Final Fantasy.

If MW3 came out in 2007 and was the first of the MW series, people would have a very similar reaction to that of CoD4. They can't innovate a game so much every single time a new game is made. The difference from CoD3 to 4 was HUGE. There's no reason to take the risk of changing everything. They took advantage of it for 3 games, now they are making a big leap again.

So GoldenEye didn't pave the way for a game called timesplitters which in itself is pretty much cod with all the twitchy action. I can argue all day on chrono trigger being one of the finest games of all time. The true OG GOAT RPG
