That is a good game...but it's 2D and probably too indie your AAA tastes, Maynard.

Already played and beaten RDR, but I've been wanting to give LA Noire a shot. Worth it?

Good rule of thumb I would guess is, if you can access on your PS4, you can play it there (unless it specifies VITA). In the case of these games, no, sadly you cannot.

LA Noire's worth going through at least once for the experience.

Know going in that even though R* tried to shoehorn some GTA into the game, you're REALLY hamstrung into completing the main and side-cases.

I.E., there's no real area/time to go into free-roam and collect things beyond completing a section of the game and then going back to it later on.

Other than that, if you dig post-WWII Crime Dramas, actors from Mad Men and L.A., this might be your jam.

I have a less positive opinion of LA Noire than Jay does (it's a shitty Adventure game with some driving in it, IMO), but at the end of the day, for $5 it's hard to argue any of them not being worth it.

I played it on 360 and for $5 I would say absolutely. Kind of a different game, but definately unique and its only $5.

LA Noire was very hit or miss. You either loved it or hated it. Personally, I loved it. A great change of pace with solving the crimes instead of causing them. The facial animations are fantastic as well. For $5, I'd say give it a try.

Again, for $5 I'd say it's a no brainer, but this is an interesting approach. I think that the only reasons that I didn't like it is that a) there weren't really puzzles per se, just kind of ham fisted conversation wheels....and b) I honestly just outright disliked the facial animations. That was the epitome of the uncanny valley for me.

I sound more down on the game than I am. I loved it at first. It just didn't endear itself to me after the initial surprise that a AAA developer/publisher would put out an Adventure game wore off. Still, again, well worth $5.
