But that's the thing, I might play them one day. I hate thinking that I'd really like to play X game but now it's $20 and I could've had it for $5.

Maynard is being unnecessarily combative but his point is accurate: Rockstar put this game out as a Rockstar game. If Team Bondi had released it themselves, there would likely be no shooting or driving or you know, most of the crappy bullshit that is in the game (although the puzzles left a lot to be desired at the same time, IMO). I agree with his overall point: Rockstar tried to pitch this as an almost cerebral GTA. 2K fell in line. And I think that it left a lot of people confused.

its a rockstar game. they published it so its their game. they publish alot of games they dont develop and some are good and some are bad. This one got a shitload of hype and because it was a rockstar game people thought it was going to be something it wasnt. fair or not, that was the perception.

ive been meaning to play Red Dead for the longest time and never got around to it but for 5 bucks i couldn't pass it up. even if I dont play it for a while I know I have something waiting to play.

I could be way off but I thought the commercials for the game showed a lot of the action scenes which was very misleading. I knew what the game was about because I did my research. I still thoroughly enjoyed it. But I could easily see how the average game thought they were getting 1940's GTA and were way disappointed when they found out it was a procedural crime drama revolving around interrogations. They also had ROCKSTAR GAMES PRESENTS everywhere and you had to look really close to see that it was developed by Team Bondi.

Edit: I guess my memory is better than I thought.

sidenote - i like how sony is finally having worthwhile deals on their store. ive purchased more on the PS Store in past few months than I have in years owning a PS3. Hopefully its something they continue to do

I just purchased Midnight Club. I have never played it and I remember either you (Twigg) or Swarley telling me how good it is.

Sidenote: PS3 download speeds suck compare to PS4
