i agree it is not really open world.....it is really open choices. There is nothing to do besides missions and looking for shards. (i dont like that word)

The only game I would consider Open World is something like WOW. I can't say how your choices change the game since right now I'm only playing "evil." I plan on playing it again as "good," to see how the world changes. GTA that is considered Open also has a story and if you pick a certain choice, another choice is closed. In InFAMOUS it states a "good" mission is closed but I have no idea how/if it affects the game.

all these games that claim to have choices really dont. they are all binary as sliz called it. Its seems that the choices all lead to the same 2 end results. Good guy/Bad guy.

for as much as i loved fallout3, the choices in dialog didnt change the outcome of the story, they just shaped your guys karma

i could see from the video reviews that this game had the same preset choices. I dont know why they pretend like these in game choices actually matter. In this case its the difference between red lightning and blue lightning ....good ending/bad ending

Yeah I am on the 2nd island too and try getting to the very very top of the jail...........damn thats high.......and a freaking fell at the very end.....fuck me!!:banghead:

i might get it today, my mom is supposed to get $100 for something and keep saying i want a new game. Is the starategy guide needed? or is it a simple game where you dont need it?

That was a bitch. What about that other huge monstrosity of a structure at the northeast section of the island? I heard on the 1Up podcast that it is something that the Dustman have built? I guess I'll find more about it towards the end of the second island.

I also love the little touches in the game, like after you run into the 'poster guy' on the second island, you will start seeing those posters all over the place. Nice touch.

I think John from the 1Up podcast, and also from What They're Playing, said it best. "inFamous isn't the greatest game on the PS3 but it is my favorite."

yeah I just want to keep playing.....The bridge mission on the 2nd island was cool and long.

I wonder if I need to get 100% complete to actually beat the game??

I am at 33% now and easily put 8-10 hours in.
