As much as trolls hit them on twitter, it's good to see them take pot shots at the trolls via their hopes and dreams. ;)

So does the JM16 developing team comprise of these "Trolls"?, or is it just the demographic that has wanted competition and an option for the last 10 years?
Are you asserting Montana's statements "You've waited long enough" and "More than a roster update" are trolling jobs? Or are you just saying anyone who doesn't like the EA product and is excited about a potential option is a troll?

Like I said... only the trolls are butthurt about this. Don't pull the bleeding heart for devs card. You lost your ability to use that.
Trolling or not, that was very unprofessional of Donny.....like Bill already said, EA called him on the carpet for that one hence that tweet "disappearing"
I hope JF16 is great, Madden needs a kick in the rear to get out of cruise control....it's no coincidence that some of the best Madden's to date were the 2004 and 2005 editions when NFL 2K was around to push them.......competition in the market is a win for everyone

Personally I'm excited about it. Just don't think there will be much to for several years down the road.

You still haven't actually defined who these "Trolls" are. As for the Bold, are you referring to lockeroom content? I'm sure the devs would love to see some of the great content you have added in there.
I am glad to see two rational heads in the thread though! It was obviously very unprofessional and immature. However, I find it encouraging that their development team has obviously taken notice. Competition is great for everyone in this market, even if some of us aren't as excited as others..
---
If it is a console game (Still not confirmed), I am still hoping for the generic, non-licensed game. A generic game capable of legitimate customization is still capable of more realistically simulating the NFL game simply because of the restrictions the NFL has put on the other product.
If this game is this current generation of consoles' version of all-pro. I probably won't need another console game for the next 7 years. That's a big "IF" though.

No definition needed.
You can like whatever game you choose. But you can't be upset when you continually bash a game you don't like then someone bashes the one you like. Personally opinions are not facts no matter how many or few agree with someone's personal opinion.

You can't define one because Moore was talking about another development team and their tools, not any particular population of supposed "Trolls". Not only did I and others notice it, but EA did also, which is why the tweet you thought was "pretty funny" has since vanished. I guess EA didn't think it was that funny either.
Also, please do not insinuate I have been "continually bashing" Madden here without showing some kind of evidence. You're trying (whether consciously or accidentally) to form a strawman argument by creating a false perception that I have been unreasonably putting down EA's product "Continually". You're trying to call me a troll in order to legitimate Moore's post. Following your logic of fighting fire with fire (in this particular scenario). This couldn't be further from the truth, especially considering my last post that even concerned Madden was September 16th of last year.
In the future please provide evidence before you try to demean someone's character. It works a lot better that way.

Competition is great, I can't say that enough. I enjoyed so many MLB games back in the early part of last decade, because you had 3-4 games continually pushing each other. Great strides were made each year, until The Show came out on top. It got to the point where 2K gave up, and the Show, until now (fingers crossed) has improved in some areas but falling well short of online play. EA's NHL has coasted every few years since 2K left the NHL realm. NBA2K has had some issues with online, but that's the only sport where there is competition now, and Live is still in it's infancy.
A new football franchise is much needed, and it can't be a one-off game. There needs to be a plan put in place for at least two games to be released, so they can take community feedback and mold them together for a second shot, especially if the first one doesn't pan out. Like TH said, a game with customization, especially rosters, makes things so much better for the hardcore players who are in it for the entire year (or more) of the game.
Forget a console game at this point, I'm still not sure this even comes to fruition to be honest. It's a whole lot of work to get a game franchise off the ground, much less one about football, and with the lack of details at this point, I'm not sold it's where they are claiming it is (or at least Montana claiming it is.)

If this makes it to console... cool. I still don't see it happening. Probsbly a mobile title. If it does end up on console folks need to lower their expectations. No way it ends up a contender in the first couple of years. Most likely will be one of the worst sports games on the market.
Best bet is to purchase, provide feedback, and help shape the direction of the game. Sadly the expectations being thrown around will most likely sink the title.
