I am pretty frikkin excited about the FP fighting camera. The IGN article cited that they use a 3 year cycle for features to iron out, so I don't know if I want to break bank on the game this year. I waited a while before I bought an NHL game again before 09, maybe I will wait again.

You're crazy if you are going to wait another year for a game. This game will pass what NHL09 did. They may do three year plans, but they are still working off an older version of a game and improving on that. I remember when NHL09 came out, I made a comment "If this is what jump they made from NHL08 to NHL09, then NHL10 is going to be complete amazing".

I just can't see the point in waiting to buy a game that we basically know is going to be amazing, just because the company works on a 3yr plan. 07 was the first year of the skill stick. From there they improved the offence (08) and then the defence (09). Would you really want to wait 2-3 years for the game and for them to finish their plan?
All you need to know when thinking of the NHL vs Madden series is the two people involved in making the games.

      "rammer" and "cummings"

The NHL series is a giver, Madden takes the load.

I am a patient sort when it comes to sports games I bought nearly every year between 97 and 2001, Skipped 02 and 03. Then I bought 04 and 09. I will give you that NHL is the best franchise out there, when it comes to putting out a product yearly.

I also like waiting because if you wait a couple of years, you see the huge improvement and are more satisfied with the purchase.

I was reading the IGN article, and its so hillarious, cuz IGN point blank asked about Tiburon's issues, and the producer for NHL said in not so many words that Tiburon tries hard, LOL

I am a HUGE BaP fan, and I can't wait to see what the incorporated this year. Hopefully there will be more details soon.

I like the Online play in NHL, I kinda wish it was easier to setup a party room or something. Sometimes, I just wanted invitees to join, but every random mofo would end up joining my game. Or I would love the COD feature, where you create a party and move around together from lobby to lobby.

If they made party feature and the EASHL better, than I will prolly by the game and go nuts online this year.

Yeah I kind of wish it was easier for a party to join, rather then sitting there saying "ok join this game" and hope you all get on the same side.

I'm STILL playing NHL 09...best sports game of 09, I've played (havent played The Show).

The only things this game really needs are...

              Human AND CPU sliders (check)
              Board play (check)

              In-Depth Franchise features...
              Restricted FA
Ability to play franchise mode with Euro leagues (tough to play them when you substitute 14 teams and there are still 16 NHL teams left).
              Better, more enhanced draft (check)
More trade activity around the NHL Draft

Overall, this game is getting real close...REAL close.

The last league talk was like 2 weeks ago or so, and hockey leagues generally suck in the summer time. Plus I really don't feel like getting involved in a league that I basically know is going to fold OR is only going to be one season until a new game.

I think one of the gamespot or ign articles stated that for BaP they are going to give users a chance to migrate their Pro from one game to another every year. I hope they put that in 2010.

That would be something nice to have, as who every year wants to have to start again. Even in say the offline game, I am going to tired of always having to go down to the AHL and play how many games there, then play maybe at most 1-2 seasons in NHL before I quit OR the next years game comes out. I always wished sports games would give you that option, as they allow for people to play 25 years, but unless you are simming games, it won't happen.

yeah that'd be cool if you could finish up whatever season you are on and convert it over.

then use that roster/superstar file in the next version. thus you are now a 1-2-3 year pro playing in the same league as you did previously, but on the new game.

The board play looks good, and hopefully it isn't something that just happens randomly. And glad to see the goalies actually making saves after a rebound. No more puck in the air and the goalie sits like a limp as it falls in front of his 5 hole for an easy tap in.
