First Impressions Are What People Remember You By
clutch (adj.) - tending to be successful in tense or critical situations

"And with that fifth foul, star senior Jake Beegle fouls out of this contest."
As the home fans booed the referee who made a controversial foul call, they noticed a tall, skinny sophomore wearing an oversized number 30 jersey at the scorer's table checking in.
"Why is Treece putting in the sophomore? Don't we have more experience on the bench? He can't possibly perform in this situation."
"Now checking in for Everett, sophomore Ethan Woy."
You couldn't read the expression on the sophomore's face; it was blank. As he jogged onto the court, the other four senior starters brought the rookie into a huddle to talk about the gameplan. They were down by one with twelve seconds left, and rival Bedford had their star player Josh Marshall on the foul line shooting a one-and-one.
"Marshall with the free throw...he missed! Decker grabs the rebound and pushes the ball up the court! The Warriors have no time outs left. Decker passes it to McCahan at the top of the key, and he dishes it off to Woy..."
The sophomore caught the ball cleanly and looked towards the hoop. A Bedford defender closed out at him and it looked like he would have to force up a bad shot. Suddenly the blank expression on his face turned to one of confidence. He gave a shot fake, which got the defender in the air, and drove towards the hoop. As the seconds counted down to one, he jumped off his left foot and collided with another Bedford defender mid-flight. The defender grabbed his shoulder as the ball was released into the air...

"Swindell is in the shotgun. He drops back to pass and avoids an incoming pass rusher. He has a man open down field, and it's Woy! He lets it go..."
I had my guy beat on a fade route but Bradley under-threw me. I came back and went up to bring down the pass but at the same time, a Claysburg defender went to lay a big hit on me. I just got my fingers on the ball when I felt the collison...
"And it's incomplete. Oh no, looks like Woy is down. It might be his collarbone..."

"And it's good! Woy wins the game for the Warriors!"
The sophomore fell to the ground right before the ball went through the hoop. As he watched it fall through the net, he clutched his collarbone. However, the only feeling was not of pain, but of goosebumps running through his back as he saw the student section storm the court. As his teammates came up to celebrate and ask him if he was alright, he just smiled and thought...
"Yeah, the collarbone is fine."
Author's Note: This is my NCAA 2010 CL. I will have at least one update per week until the game comes out. The different colors signal different people talking or their thoughts. I have to reserve some posts first, so don't post yet. Thank you and I hope you enjoy this.
