Lol yeah I know, it's really similar to the update I used in the old CL. I figured I'd throw it in there already to get it out of the way. It's all going to tie into the storyline soon.

Host/Line Cook at the restaurant inside this travel plaza like two miles from my house. I work 3-9 tomorrow, Tuesday, and Wednesday and then 3-10 on Thursday and Friday. I have off today, Monday and next Saturday.

I'll try to put the finishing touches on the update by tonight.

Haha nah, he's got it worse. He's working, what, twelve hour days or something? I'm working six and seven hour ones for now; plus I can update my stuff in the morning or afternoon. Updates will slow down with me working though.

Getting The Call

I got home around eleven from Rebecca's house. My head was pounding so when I got to my bedroom, I collapsed on the bed and fell asleep. After a few hours I could hear my phone going off, so I checked who texted me.

"hey boy had a great time last night ;-) wanna do something 2day?"

"of course babe. i'll pick you up for dinner at 6."

"alright sounds good :-)"

It seems I'm going to be spending most of this week with Rebecca. It's not a bad thing - I mean I've never been with a girl for longer than a month - but it does take away other opportunities down here. Oh well, she seems cool and is great under the sheets, hehe. I pulled in at her house at six and was just about to text her that I was here when I saw the door open. She walked out in this tight blue dress that showed off her outstanding curves; probably wants to show them off for me. Nothing wrong with that, right? She opened the door and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Well hey there beautiful. How are you?"

"Great now that I'm with you. Where are we eating at?"

"I got reservations at this awesome sushi place about a mile away..."

"Haha, that's where I work."

"Oh really? We don't have to go there then."

"No really, it's fine. You didn't know that and plus you already got reservations so..."

"Alright. I promise next time I'll take you somewhere that you don't work at, haha."

"Oh, so there's gonna be a next time?"

She just winked at me and smiled. I can't get myself too attached though; this could be the only time I ever see her. We got to the restaurant where we were immediately seated because of the reservations. After a few minutes of talking after we ordered our food, I felt my phone start to vibrate...

"Okay, let's look at our prospects at receiver. With the new look spread passing offense we're putting in this year, we need a wideout that can make all the plays out there. We need someone we can base our offense around. Who are you guys thinking of?"

"I say we go with Scott. He's a senior and has been through the program the last two years now. His experience is a big key."

"Yeah, but he doesn't have the greatest of hands. Plus he's too damn moody - he wants to play only half the time."

"You have some points there. But who would you suggest?"

"Woy."

"Coach, he didn't play last year."

"Cause of a bad break in the opener. He's not as fast as Scott, but he's got great hands and a big body to outjump defenders. Plus he's got that confidence, that 'I know I'm better than you' attitude. You saw it during basketball season last year. I say we base this passing attack around him."

"Then it's settled. Woy's going to be our number one wideout on the depth chart. I'll call him and let him know."

"Ethan! How's vacation?"

"Pretty good Coach. I'm at dinner right now."

Coach Waltman has been through a lot lately, with some of the community calling for a change. Those are the fans that didn't realize that we played mostly all sophomores last year against teams that were stacked with seniors. We were basically fielding a JV team last year. Coach and I have a good relationship - he knows that I like to party and have fun, and he doesn't care as long as it doesn't affect my performance on the field.

"With the family?"

"Naw, with a lady friend I picked up over here."

"Well don't get yourself into too much trouble, haha. Anyways I called because the coaches had their main summer meeting today - talking depth chart and stuff we'll do at camp. We're adding a new dimension to our offense; a spread passing attack. Now for this to work, we have to have a good receiver to run that offense through. After much deliberation we decided to go with you as the number one receiver on the depth chart. Congratulations."

"Wow, thanks Coach. I promise I won't let you or this team down."

"I don't expect you to Ethan. Well I better let you go. Make sure you stay in shape for camp coming up here soon. See you then."

"Alright later Coach."

"Who was that?"

"My coach. He was telling me that I'm the top receiver on the depth chart and that I'm the focal point of the offense this year."

"That's great! Say, how 'bout we go celebrate at my house after this?"

"I'm definitely down with that..."
