Killing A Life And Pushed Out Of Another

Coach Rodriguez called me twice a week for the next month. We'd talk about how he likes coaching up in Ann Arbor and the prospects of playing in front of 110,000 screaming fans every home game. Eventually I would be receiving more enevelopes in the mail from Coach Rod, with the usual "Hey, we're interested in you playing football for us" letter and a stack of 20 dollar bills inside. I wasn't sure how to feel about getting the money at first, but after spending it on some new kicks and stuff for my car, I didn't care.

When July came around, I started off counting off the days till I left for Hilton Head. I was relieved to get away from all the pressure from the community and the constant phone calls from coaches. Plus I haven't spoken to Rebecca since the last time I was there, so seeing her again and catching up on each other's lives will be great.

After the long 12 hour drive down, I decided to chill out on the couch and call Rebecca. After a few rings, she answered.

"Hello?"

"Rebecca?"

"Who's this?"

"Haha it's Ethan..."

"Oh, now you decide to speak to me again."

"What do you mean?"

"It's whatever. Listen I'm kinda busy right now..."

"No, it's not whatever. Can I come over and we can talk?"

"Umm...yeah, sure."

"Alright I'll be there in a bit."

Wonder what's wrong with her? I figured she'd be happy to talk to me again. I got into my car and drove off to her house. When I pulled in, I noticed that her car was the only one there.

*KNOCK KNOCK*

"Yeah?"

"Geez, you're going to respond like that when you answer the door? Can I come in?"

"Yeah sure."

I walked into her house and instantly smelled the scent of alcohol. There were empty Jack Daniels bottles everywhere and I could tell from the way she was slightly stumbling that she just drank them not too long ago. She awkwardly fell into a sitting position onto the recliner as I slowly sat down on the couch.

"What's wrong Rebecca?"

"What's wrong? What's wrong! Everything has went wrong ever since you left."

"Why?"

"Well I was pregnant..."

I swear it felt like my jaw dropped to the floor. Here was this girl I just met last year, and I ended up getting her pregnant and didn't know about it. It wasn't just the fact that I knocked her up, it's the fact that I wasn't there to help her out through the suffering that she went through. That's what upsets me.

"Well, where's the baby?"

"Where's the baby? I didn't have the time for a fucking child! I got an abortion and had to work two jobs just to pay off the damn thing! And it's not even completely paid off yet! Now I've lost both of my jobs because I got into very vicious arguments with customers from all the stress that has been put on me, and the last thing I need in my life is you. I've gotten a new boyfriend who actually will support me and be there for me for whatever."

Completely shocked, I sat there stumbling for what I should say next. After a few seconds of thinking, I got an idea.

"Hold on for a second."

"Whatever."

I ran out to my car and reached into my glove compartment. Coming back into the house, she looked even more disgusted than before.

"Let me guess. You brought a condom so we can finally safely fuck, that way you don't get me pregnant again, right? You're a joke."

"No. Listen, I'm really sorry for what you've been through and I wish I was here for you the entire time..."

"Yeah right."

"Please, let me finish. Anyways, I'll stay out of your life for good but I have to give you something first. How much was the abortion?"

"500 dollars, why?"

I handed her the enevelope.

"Here, don't tell anyone I gave you this. You want me out of your life, fine - I'm gone. Hopefully everything works out for you."

"Good riddance..."

I walked out and drove off. She went up to her room and opened the evenelope and watched stacks of 20 dollar bills fall right onto her bed.

"Oh my God..."

and lol to two things

1. American healthcare. rofl in a waffle! Having to pay for an abortion! :D
2. Working two jobs for an entire year to earn $500??? What is she giving $0.05 blowjobs? If I worked two jobs at 10$ an hour, I'd only need to work 25 hours two pay off my abortion... lol, I guess my blowjobs are more expensive then, lol

Thanks Ian. I never said she'd work to pay off the abortion right away, so she could have only worked five months. Plus mininum wage isn't $10, it's more like $7. And it says she got fired too, from both jobs. She has to make car payments and other stuff, so it's not like she put all the money towards the abortion. And lulz at your $0.05 blowjobs.

I think everyone thought it'd be JoePa. Well you thought wrong! :tongue: I wanted to add a controversial storyline into this (hint: hence the thread title) and I'm pretty sure JoePa wouldn't end up paying recruits, lol. Plus I could see Rich Rod kinda doing that. Thanks for following.

Maybe he'll go to Michigan, maybe he'll go somewhere else? Maybe he'll keep hush-hush about the money, maybe he'll go to the NCAA? Maybe he'll play football in college, maybe he'll play basketball, or both? Maybe he'll try to get Rebecca back, maybe he'll find someone else? There are so many different scenarios that could happen and so many directions I can take this CL - I love it.

I'm starting to doubt an update today. I have work 3-11 tonight and then tomorrow morning I have to get up at 6 EST to drive out to Robert Morris to do some stuff for college.

Waking Up To A Sudden, But Pleasant Surprise

After the whole Rebecca situation last night, I decided the next morning to make my way down to the beach to clear my head. I wanted to spend time with her the entire week, but her wanting me out of her life, I decided that I just wanted to relax the entire week and not worry about finding random girls to hook up with.

Once I got to the beach, I laid my towel down and cranked my iPod full blast. I drifted into a slow, relaxing sleep and started dreaming...

I went up the stairs and walked down the hall. Opening the door, I was shocked to see the beautiful girl sitting in the seat in front of mine...

I was rudely awakened by a frisbee thrown from one of the tourists. Or at least I thought she was a tourist when she started to walk towards me.

"I'm so sorry about that. Little brother must not have good aim, I guess."

"Just watch where..."

I stopped myself as I was getting up to brush myself off. I saw this beautiful brunette with piercing green eyes standing right in front of me, clutching the frisbee in hand.

"...it's no big deal, accidents happen."

"You don't seem like you're from around here. Hi, my name's Melyssa."

"Nice to meet you, can I just call you gorgeous?"

"Oh, I've heard that one before."

"Sorry, just trying to get a smile out of you. I'm Ethan, and you're right - I'm not from around here."

"This little town in Pennsylvania. I've been coming to Hilton Head for vacation the last so many years."

She seemed a little nervous and started biting her lip, like she wanted to ask me something. I started to get ready to lay back down when she said...

"Hey listen, since I didn't mean to wake you up, how 'bout I make it up to you?"

"How would you do that?"

"We can hang out sometime and get to know each other better."

"Sounds good, I'm free whenever. What do you have in mind?"

"Do you know where Shelter Cove is?"

"The harbor with the amazing yachts!? Yes!"

"Right. Well my grandparents own one and I live near there. Anyways, they have a fireworks display every Wednesday night. Sound like fun?"

"Yeah, that sounds great. I'd love to get to know you."

"Same here. Have anything to write on?"

I reached into my bag and pulled out a piece of notebook paper.

"Here, my number's on there. Text or call me whenever."

"I definitely will."

I looked down and saw what she wrote.

"I didn't want to admit it, but you did get me to smile a little with your pick-up line. You're pretty good looking yourself. ;-) Text or call me. 843-555-2449"

I came down here looking for something more with Rebecca, but was shot down after the mistake that I made. Now, after wanting to just relax, I found another girl that seemed cool and who I'd love to get to know. Hopefully it doesn't end up with the same consquences that happened with Rebecca...

Thanks Justo, glad to see you following. And this little town called Everett, you've probably never heard of it. It's in Bedford County and it's about half an hour away from the Maryland border. I'll be in Pittsburgh though starting August 20th for college though.
