After being relieved of his head coaching duties for the New York Knicks (currently 22-48), Mike would be hired as the Head Coach of the Charlotte Bobcats (currently 26-46). D'Antoni replaces interim Head Coach Calvin Wise, who has been holding down the fort after Larry Brown's exit a season ago. D'Antoni had little to no success in New York. Perhaps he can turn things around in Charlotte. We won't count on it though.
