lol well Caleb King got knocked out of the game in the 3rd and I was up big so I just ran every play pretty much. I got some good yards from my back up running backs though.
My passing game was very conservative cause Florida intercepts everything in this game
Reporter:How does it feel to get the win over Florida?
Mark Richt: I have to say it feels great. They are so good and Meyer is a great coach. They have beaten us a lot recently and one of my goals when I was hired was to beat Florida. I have now beaten them twice in three years.
Reporter: How did you guys manage to slow down that powerful Florida offense?
Mark Richt: We did it mostly by keeping them off the field. We played ball control on offense and they had the ball for only six minutes in the game. They couldn't get in a rythm.
Reporter: Did you think you were going to be able to hold them off going into halftime?
Mark Richt: I had a feeling since we were just playing so well. Also, Branden [Smith] just returned a kick for a touchdown and I thought that kind of killed their spirits.
Reporter: Now that you've won the SEC East, who'd you like to face in the SEC Championship?
Mark Richt: I'd love to play Alabama after the blackout debacle last year. We went down 31-0 before we came back and that set the tone for their season last year. I don't want to play LSU or Auburn because we have already played them and beating them twice is very difficult.
Reporter: You offense didnt really put up the numbers that we are used to seeing, how do you plan on fixing that?
Mark Richt: To be honest, I really don't have to worry about it that much. We played conservative on purpose and only threw the ball nine times. Our running game still managed to gain yards and control the clock. That is all that we need.
Reporter: Who do you think down the road will give you guys the most trouble?
Mark Richt: I have to say Georgia Tech. That option is very tough to defend and their defense is solid. Coach Johnson has them playing well. Luckily, we are very good at defending the run so that should help.
Reporter: Jumping ahead to next season, what would you think about scheduling an OU, FSU, Texas, or even a rematch vs Hawaii just to give your fans and sponsors something major to look forward to OOC?
Mark Richt: Our Athletic Department has always been great at giving our fans a great OOC schedule. This year we played Oklahoma State, Arizona State, Tennessee Tech, and Georgia Tech. We have to play Georgia Tech always so we have three open games. I would love to play my old school, Florida State. We played in the 2002 Sugar Bowl and it was very fun. Also, we need to play at Colorado to return the home-and-home agreement from 2006. I would love to replay Boise State. We played in 2005 and blew them out. Since then they have risen as a BCS Buster. Hawaii would also be alot of fun to open the season. There are a lot of teams that we would like to play.

[SIZE="3"]Rece Davis: Georgia beat Florida last week to win the SEC East. Now they play Tennessee Tech. Is this worth watching guys?
Lee Corso: Not even! This will be ugly! The Dawgs will ran wild on the Golden Eagles and have the back-ups in by halftime.
Kirk Herbstreit: I actually have a feeling about this one Lee! This is a trap game for Georgia as they will look past Tennessee Tech. Also, Georgia usually has one game where they don't show up every season.... this one is it guys! I'm feeling an upset!

The Dawgs ran for 506 yards against the Golden Eagles.
If you are a running back watching this game, you are wanting to be apart of the Bulldog Nation. Why wouldn't you? You just witnessed every running back on the team run for over a hundred yards in route for 506 rushing yards. Yes, all four of them.
This game was ugly from the start as Georgia returned two interceptions for touchdown within two minutes and had three total at half time. Georgia ran wild scoring 23 defensive points and six on the ground offensively. They scored 79 points on just 5 passes.

The Georgia Bulldogs have recieved a committment from Clarence Brown. Brown is a five-star prospect and the best Free Safety in the class. He was in a position of need and his playing style is much like former Dawgs Greg Blue and Thomas Davis. Brown has a good oppurtunity to play early next year
Also, the Dawgs recieved a committment from Alex Garrison, a four-star prospect. Garrison is an athlete that will play either wide receiver or in the linebacking core or in the secondary.
The Dawgs ran for 506 yards against the Golden Eagles.

It's the exact opposite for us. Kirk loves us (So much that when gameday comes he's always out at our bar scene, rumor is he always takes some 20 or 19 year old home with him too) and Corso always makes comments about us which lead for me to think he either hates us or just spurrier. I do remember when we beat ya'll 2 years ago they played that clip all the time at the Stadium of Corso saying the day of the Game that Steve Spurrier has no chance in Georgia and will never win in Georgia with South Carolina, well he's an ass hole ahah.
Nice win though nothing better than beating a FCS team to really pad the stats.
Reporter: That was a nice tuneup against TTU, it was nice to see all the guys out there having fun, do you think they'll be ready next week after this cakewalk?
Mark Richt: I think so. One thing we've done all year is be focused every week. Also, we play Auburn who is one of our major rivals. This is a big game for us always.
Reporter: You guys only attempted 5 passes, are you losing confidence in Joe, or did you just want to get your RBs more involved?
Mark Richt: We just wanted to get all of our running backs involved. Samuel, D-Jax, and Thomas haven't really gotten much playing time this year so I decided to give them a lot. Plus, we were up by a lot so passing would have been classless.
Reporter: You just signed a couple of solid recruits, any chance we'll get to see them play next season?
Mark Richt: After I redshirted Knowshon, I learned my lesson that if they are good enough to play right away... then I will play them. I am not going to play them just because they are freshman, but if they are the best starter, then they will play.
Reporter: Have you guys thought about adding some new wrinkles to get AJ Green the ball more?
Mark Richt: We have. Coach Bobo has been trying to constantly move him around the field, putting him in the slot and at half back. We also have some plays that we haven't ran yet that we are waiting for the right time.
Reporter: Your defense really turned it up against TTU, do you think they'll be able to keep that intensity when they play a more competitive team?
Mark Richt: I have no reason not to. We have played well all season so why would it stop now? We are the fifth best defense in the nation for a reason. This might be the best defense I have coached since 2004.
