DSU battles from a 0-17 deficit with 35 unanswered points to win; 1-1(1-0)

Kyle "Hand Me the Ball" Hadley celebrates his 2nd TD before being taken out with an injury in the 3rd quarter.

Lo Paka takes charge after being subbed in due to Hadleys injury.

Jay Rock intercepts the SMU QB 2 times.

    Game Recap:

I am sure all Daytona Beach University fans were biting their
nails just after the 2 quarter. The reason being is that Daytona
Beach was down 17-0. That was before a new formation
entered the game, which I think the Falcons will use more often
, as the Falcons rushed for over 260 yards and 5 TD's. Kyle
Hadley and backup Lo Paka combined for 31 carries, 223 yards
and 5 TD's. This combination has never been used before, but
I am sure it will from now on. Hadley had to be subbed in for
certain place because of fatigue and Lo Paka just took it from
there. The two backs tore up SMU's defense like it was butter.
The defense shut down the SMU offense from the end of the
2nd quarter all the way up until the end of the 4th quarter.
The secondary gave up over 300 yards passing, but made up
for it with 3 key interceptions. This was a decisive first conference
win for the Daytona Beach Falcons as they look onto next week
to battle UAB as they hope to start out their C-USA career with
a 2-0 record. The Falcons currently sit at 1-1 (1-0).

    Falcons Stats:
    Offense
Airik Aldridge, QB- 8/20, 141 yards, 1 TD, 3 INT
Kyle Hadley, HB- 15 attempts for 106 yards, 2 TD
Lo Paka, HB- 16 attempts for 117 yards, 3 TD
Ethan Woy, WR- 3 receptions, 66 yards, 1 TD

    Defense
Jay Rock, CB- 7 tackles, 2 INT
    Nick Sigona, MLB- 8 tackles
Brian Shwayzed, CB- 6 Tackles, 2 FL, Sack, INT

    Next Game:

Yeah it died a while ago. Too much effort. I don't have that much time.

I'll probably going to another school sometime though.

DBU holds off UAB for another conference win; 2-1(2-0)

Scott Mescudi breaks tackles to get a TD

Ethan Woy makes a catch deep in the end zone

Sophmore DE with the Sack and FF

          Game Recap:

For the 2nd game in a row DBU uses a 2 back rotation
and makes the best of it. Lo Paka and Kyle Hadley
combined for 180 yards as they allowed Airik Aldridge to
just manage the game with precise throws to set up
multiple touchdowns. Ethan Woy was injured in the 1st
quarter and was put out for the game while Scott
Mescudi took over the load with a beautiful reception
where he broke 3 tackls at the 10 to 5 yard line for a
TD. With another conference win the Falcons are heating
up. Next week, though, may be their hardest opponent
yet in Houston. They have been throwing all over teams
so far this season and look to make Daytona Beach their
          next victim.

          Falcons Stats:
          Offense
Airik Aldridge, QB- 12/29, 118 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
Kyle Hadley, HB- 21 attempts for 111 yards, 1 TD
Lo Paka, HB- 11 attempts for 73 yards
Scott Mescudi, WR- 5 receptions, 61 yards, 1 TD

          Defense
CJ Holton, SS- 4 tackles, Sack
          Nick Sigona, MLB- 5 tackles
VSN Saluki, LE- 4 tackles, Sack

          Next Game:

          2-2 (1-2) Houston

Thrilling 4th quarter win over Houston puts Daytona Beach in good place in C-USA; 3-1(3-0)

Dexter McPherson shows this game why he is a premier DB in the league as he posts 2 tackles, 6 DEFLs, 2 INTs.

Brian Williams is having a tremendous season as he posts 3 sacks this game alone.

WR Ethan Woy is beginning to heat up as he makes another TD reception.

                  Game Recap:

This will most likely be the best game this school will play
in collegiate football for quite some time. This game had it
all; offensive plays, defensive plays, specials teams and
even a thrilling end. Whether you watched the game on TV
or in the stadium you got your moneys worth that is for
sure. The first half was all about both teams offenses as
the score was 26-27 at the half. Both of the teams fought
their hardest in the 2nd half and this game looked to go
into the 40s or even 50s points wise. The defenses of both
teams probably were screamed at at halftime as they came
out battling on all cylinders in the 2nd half. A combined 11
points between the teams was aloud in the 2nd half.

Airik Aldridge got into interception trouble as he threw 2 picks
in the first 3 quarters. Kyle Hadley was shut down until late
3rd-early 4th quarter, which is where almost all of his 74 yards
came from. The receivers for the Falcons as well as the
Cougars were catching almost everything thrown their way. On
defense Brian Williams, the sophmore RE from Daytona Beach
recorded 3 sacks and 6 tackles! True Freshman Mario Smith, FS,
ran a kick return back for a TD as well as recorded an interception.
Dexter McPherson stole the show, however, with his 6 Pass Deflections
and 2 timely interceptions that sealed the game for the Falcons.

Hoping to keep their streak alive Daytona Beach University faces
UTEP in another conference game. UTEP is another team that is
lighting the scoreboards up this season via the passing game. Dexter
McPherson will look to follow up his shutdown corner performance
and help his team win again.

                  Falcons Stats:
                  Offense
Airik Aldridge, QB- 16/29, 253 yards, 2 TD, 3 INT
Kyle Hadley, HB- 17 attempts for 73 yards, 1 TD
Ethan Woy, WR- 4 receptions, 77 yards, 1 TD
Josh Krueger, TE- 3 receptions, 39 yards
Jose Villasmil, WR- 3 receptions, 45 yards, 1 TD

                  Defense
Brian Williams, RE- 6 tackles, 3 FL, 3 Sacks
                  Nick Sigona, MLB- 5 tackles
                  Dexter McPherson, CB- 2 tackles, 6 DEFL's, 2 INT
Mario Smith, FS- 2 tackles, INT

I'm gonna miss Mr. Quincey, hope he does well in the NFL.

Man you have only been fumbling really. If you are shut down in a couple quarters you always bounce back. And yeah I'll try to update on Quincey once he gets decent play time.
