Daytona Beach Falcons invited to the... Eaglebank Bowl!

2 best players on defense get FF/FR

Jose Villasmil catches a ball for a TD that looked to be intercepted.

Josh Krueger has been a reliable guy all season.

    Game Recap:
This was probably one of the better games all around, in the
sense of closeness throughout, that the Daytona Beach Falcons
have played. All the way through the 4th quarter it was always
pretty close. Granted, the Falcons got into some trouble in the
2nd quarter with Kyle Hadley fumbled twice. Both times lead to
Navy TD's. I would assume the cold weather played tribute to
his fumbling, but he needs to step it up if he wants to make it
in the NFL one day. Airik Aldridge played very well with 2 TD's
and nearly 300 yards. Kyle Hadley, struggled all game and could
    not really find a rythm.

This game was lost on defense for sure. The Navy Midshipmen
came into the game with the #1 rush offense (DSC had #1 rush
defense, but clearly did not play that good of teams) and proved
why they have that ranking. The Navy Midshipmen rushed for over
220 yards and attributed to almost all of the points. They only
passed for 7 completions, but got a TD on one of those. This bowl
game was a well played one and the Falcons can only hope to
end the season with a bowl win next year as they are 0-2. Coach
Sean Shola will need to do some magic in the off-season because
he has only signed 3 players in-season. They end the year at 7-6 overall.

    Falcons Stats:
    Offense
    Airik Aldridge, QB- 25/37, 285 yards, 2 TD's, 1 INT
Kyle Hadley, HB- 19 attempts for 75 yards, 2 Fumbles
Craig Simmons, WR- 7 receptions, 94 yards
Josh Krueger, TE- 4 receptions, 46 yards, TD
Ethan Woy, WR- 4 receptions, 50 yards

    Defense
Nick Sigona, MLB- 6 tackles, 2 FL, FR, TD
Jag Quincey, SS- 9 Tackles, FF, FR, DEFL
Brian Lane, RE- 4 tackles, 2 FL

Despite a par season, C-USA wants Daytona Beach to join

After losing the EagleBank Bowl to Navy, Daytona Beach University was notified that another
conference wanted them to join. Now, the day after, the Falcons have a new conference to
call "home" C-USA has decided to kick Tulane out of the conference and invite Daytona Beach
University to join it. Tulane went just 2-9 and lost all conference games. A spokesman for the
conference made a statement,"This has been coming for the past 2-3 years or so. Tulane we
feel just is not in our plans for this conference anymore as they have gone nowhere sports wise
as well as academically they are failing. Daytona Beach University is a new program, sure, but
we feel they have a bright future ahead of them and we want that bright spot in our conference".
This conference is a bit more difficult than the Sun Belt so Coach Sean Shola will have to have his
team prepared for next season. The Daytona State Falcons have also been promoted to a 3 star program.

Falcons lose 6 starters as a unit. Most of them come from the
offensive line. This may cause some problems next season as their
will be an entire unit that has not practice all together much. Jag
Quincey, the All-American SS for the Daytona Beach Falcons
declared for the NFL Draft. It is not know where he is projected,
but we will keep you posted as well if any other Falcons are drafted.
Star WR Craig Simmons graduates after a beautiful 1,000 yard season.
He was a key player in the offense this season and will be missed on
the field greatly. A few Freshman/Sophmore's will fight for that extra
spot on the depth chart in the offseason.

Losing Jag Quincey will be a huge blow for the defense and team in
general, but luckily it is not a total loss. Trasferring from Miami(FL),
CJ Holton came in last year. This year he sat out obviously and has
gotten amazingly good. We will see how he does in his only year playing
at Daytona Beach University next year.

            Transfers

Nick Williams, ROLB, SO(RS), 82 OVR- Transferring from Georgia:
            Code:

            88 Pursuit,
            81 Zone Coverage,
            81 Man Coverage,
            66 Hit Power,
            86 Agility,

            82 Stamina,
            86 Injury
Nick Williams is the lone transfer for Daytona Beach University. He was
upset about a broken promise his coach made him his freshman year.
He was promised a lot of play time, but he only has 1 tackle to date.
He will be a sure fire starter when he plays in 2012.

The off-season went better than in-season for recruiting, but
even then that was not enough. The Falcons had the worst
recruiting class in the nation which leaves many disappointed.
They only manages to sign 11 recruits in total. They were able
to fill all the holes they needed to, though, but lacked that
extra playmaker or two elsewhere on the field. Coach Shola
has high hopes for in-season recruiting for the 2011 season
because of the recent conference swap and the program
              gaining respect.

I'll probably be leaving Daytona Beach University after my 5th year. Maybe 6-7th depending on how I feel. I just simmed 5 seasons to see what could happen and even though I was recruited to the Big East, upped to a 5 STAR PROGRAM and having back to back 10 win seasons, I still recruited not a single 4 and 5 star player. And only recruited a couple 3 star players.

I mean seriously what the fuck is that.

And only recruited a couple 3 star players.

I mean seriously what the fuck is that.
I think the CPU just sucks at recruiting...

Nah I mean even interested in me. No matter what I do, talking for multiple hours to one recruit an winning, it never changes. We will see when the time comes.

Season 3 will be underway probably in a bit.

Falcons come up one down short in 4thQ; lose 28-30; 0-1

Kyle "Hand Me the Ball" Hadley rushes for a first quarter TD.

Jose Villasmil is a step earlier than the DB and catches a TD pass.

QB Airik Aldridge takes a huge hit in the third quarter and has to be sat the rest of the game.

                                Game Recap:

Daytona Beach Falcons had an oppurtunity late in the 4th
quarter to come back and win it. How they got so far down
in the first place? Well Mississippi St. had a hot hand in
the 2nd and 3rd quarters scoring 20 of their 30 points. The
defense of DBU could not handle the option at times and
aloud over 160 yards on the ground as well as 3 TD's.
With 5 minutes left in the 4th, Daytona State drove down
the field and scored a TD. On the next drive after a
Mississippi St. punt, the Falcons again scored off a Kyle
Hadley TD. This put the Daytona Beach Falcons up 1 put
28-27 with 1:47 seconds left. Miss St. charged down the
field quickly and had to kick a 52 yard field goal which was
made. The score then was 30-28 with 1:05 left on the
clock. After converting once on 4th down the Falcons could
not do it again as time expired to give them their first loss
                                of the 2011 season.
