Tempers Flare After Bills' Last Loss At The Meadowlands

Terrell Owens caught 1 pass in the Bill's 35-24 loss to the Bills on Sunday.

    That's right. 1.

    A 72 yard touchdown pass.

Needless to say, every time Owens has been able to get the ball this year, the team has been successful. However, the Jets pass rush kept Bills quarterback Trent Edwards in check for most of the game and Owens was not able to get as many receptions as he would have liked.

And it seems like, in typical T.O. fashion, the ticking time bomb has finally gone off.

Owens lashed out in a press conference after the game.

"I can't catch the ball if the quarterback can't pull the trigger on those passes, and he can't get the pass off if no one's blocking."

The Bills offensive line was an area of concern coming into this season and is still a major one as the Bills sit at 4-2 heading into week 7.

"Guys are open out there," explained Edward at the Bills practice facility today. "I just need a little more time to get the ball to them."

Despite already matching his 11 touchdowns thrown in 2008, Edwards has already thrown 20 interceptions this year, double the number he threw in 2008.

      Week 7 Preview
Sunday, October 25, 4:05 PM @ Bank Of America Stadium

      (4-2) @ (5-0)

Coming off a deflating 35-24 loss to the Jets a week ago, the Bills will face off against the only undefeated team remaining in the league, the Carolina Panthers.

With the Bills offensive line still under a lot of scrutiny, it's going to be interesting to see if they will be able to slow down the Panthers pass rush that includes RE Julius Peppers.

Thanks. Edwards didn't get sacked this game and didn't really face all much pressure. It was nice not feeling forced to pass and really being able to play at a controlled pace unlike the Jets game where I was a sitting duck in the pocket all day.

2 interceptions and a kick return taken all the way back for touchdowns certainly help. :D

                          Week 8 Preview
Sunday, November 1, 1:00 PM @ Ralph Wilson Stadium

                          (5-2) vs (3-4)

The Bills bounced back strong last week, sending the Jaguars who were the only undefeated team in the league (at the time) to a 24 point beatdown.

Rookie Jairus Byrd and Terrence Mcgee clamped down on Jake Delhomme both intercepting a pass each and each running it back for a touchdown.

Coming into this game, Texans QB is without his top wide receiver Andre Johnson due to a severe concussion he suffered earlier on in the season.

The Bills secondary, which ranks amongst the leagues best in interceptions, could have another huge day if Schaub can't find a groove with his other receivers.

The Bills cannot get complacent though. The last time they underestimated a team plagued by injuries (Jets, Week 6), they suffered an embarassing loss.
