Season 1, Episode 8: Mistakes
August 7,2008
The scene opens with Devin Hester sitting at a long dirty bar at the La Chaque nightclub in downtown Chicago. He has on a beenie hat and Kanye West shades so as not to draw attention to himself. The stool he sits on has a wobbly leg and he gets up cursing at the stool
Devin Hester: FUCK! *looks at bartender* What the fuck is wrong with this piece of shit place homie?
Hester walks away before the bartender can answer while muttering to himself. He bumps into someone and his glasses fall off.
Devin Hester: Watch where you going n*gga!
Man: *looking Hester up and down* Man, who the fuck is this clown? What you gonna do little n*gga? Kick me in my shins?
Devin Hester: *swings at the man and hits him dead in the jaw* You can suck my dick now dawg!
The bartender has witnessed the commotion and motions for a security guard to detain Hester and lead him out of the club.
Devin Hester:*feels a firm grip on his shoulder so he turns around* Who the fuck are y-
The security guard has one hand on Hester's shoulder and the other is clenched around a .750 Magnum.
Security Guard:*grunts* Your drunk, take your shit and leave or else I will force you.
Hester wobbles a bit and a young women with ebony skin picks his bennie and glasses up for him.
Women: *smiles at him* Here you go.
Hester stops in his tracks, this women is extremely beautiful in his eyes. Before he can talk to her the security guard gives him a slight push in the crook of his back and "escorts him" to the club's entrance.

The scene fast forwards to Hester's penthouse suite in his apartment on Michigan Avenue. Sportscenter is on the television and John Buccigross is speaking about Peyton Manning's injury when suddenly...
John Buccigross: Let's fastforward to some preseason action on the gridiron. Bears, Chiefs is our first on the docket. *cuts to highlight, Buccigross' voice in the background* The Bears ran their new A-11 offense to perfection as new quarterback Dante Hall played the entire game and ran for a total of 331 yards and 5 touchdowns in the Bears' 41-7 beatdown on the hapless Chiefs. However, the bigger story surrounding this game was who didn't show up. Devin Hester, the star kick returner and newly converted quarterback did not show up for the game and spurned Bears GM Jerry Angelo to say this:
Jerry Angelo: *screen cuts to video of Jerry Angelo surrounded by cameras and people* I want to make something very clear to Devin Hester, because he chose not show up today Lovie and I have decided that he will not show up again at Soldier Field in Bears' colors. We want nothing to do with Mr. Hester and we are hereby openly shopping him to any teams interested. *screen cuts back to Buccigross*

Hester angrily turns off the TV and tosses his remote to the ground
Devin Hester: FUCCCCCCCCCCCK *to himself* I know I said I hate the Bears but I didn't want it to end like this, fuck I'm an idiot.
Walks over to the phone and dials a number into the keypad.
Devin Hester: Hey mama, sorry to wake you but do you mind if I come over for a bit...?
