Corey Brewer has recently made it known that he currently isn’t happy with the Clippers. His argument? Brewer was signed to be a 6th man when he started for the Timberwolves so he’s had to adapt to lesser minutes.
Brewers agent had this to say, “He feels like he is an impact player on most teams and would like a chance to prove himself to another organisation”
The question that was asked to that comment was, hasn’t Brewer been making an impact to the Clippers side? And the answer judging by stats would be yes. His offence and defense off the bench has won Clippers some games in certain instances. Whether it be shutting down offensive threats in the opposition lineup or scoring 20+ points to get his side over the line.
So it gets people wondering, is there something more to this? Brewer from a fans view has made a big impact this season but he has made it clear that he isn’t happy at the moment.
So will Corey Brewer remain a Clipper next season, or even before the deadline? Will Brewer’s attitude adapt to being a 6th man rather than a starter? You’ll have to wait and see as we stay tuned to the one of many questions in the National Basketball Association.
The Clippers veteran Marcus Camby is set to return to action after the 2010 Allstar Break, Camby injured his leg almost a month ago and the Clippers have missed his defence and leadership.
Camby's role was replaced by DeAndre Jordan while being out, and although Jordan stood up big time the team looks forward to having Camby back. Marcus Camby announced earlier this season that this would be his last season, lets hope for Clippers fans that he can go out on a high note after an excellent career.
And nobody knows how good the Clippers can get, if they keep up the form that they are in, Camby will be able to lead his team to the playoffs and who knows how deep they will go.
Trade Deadline Ends Tomorrow: Clippers Make Big Decision To Part Ways With Corey Brewer,
Place On Trading Block
The Warriors, Cavaliers, Rockets and Nets all have interest in swingman Brewer. Where will he end up?
The NBA February trade deadline ends tomorrow and as of yet no major trades have been completed, there are rumours surrounding Ray Allen, Corey Brewer especially.
Corey Brewer is the big focus at the moment though, the Clippers have made the decision to let him start over at a new team after Corey has made it known about his frustration in LA. Now there needs to be a deal worked out and a lot of teams are pushing for a deal with Brewer by tomorrow, teams mentioned above are some that have made a push to work out a deal.
Already some teams have made some offers to get Brewer but only one has caught the Clippers attention, the New Jersey Nets who acquired Nicholas Batum earlier this season has offered Batum for Brewer but no further actions have been taken.
Will the disgruntled Corey Brewer be traded before the deadline? Hopefully for both the Clippers and Brewers sake, he does. Brewer feels he can make an impact on most teams and perhaps the Nets is a good option. New Jersey is one of the worst NBA teams this season and they can use all the help they can get. Brewer can provide offence and defense and possibly help the Nets rebuild into a contender.
Clippers Proud To Welcome Young Talent Nicolas Batum

When the New Jersey Nets made an offer of Nicolas Batum for Corey Brewer a few days ago, the Clippers realised this deal makes perfect sense for both teams.
How? Corey Brewer was unhappy with his playing time and role in LA and clearly wanted a change while at the other end, Nicolas Batum won’t expect as much court time as Brewer and therefore other players will enjoy increased court time.
Clippers like the size and athleticism of Batum and the range on his jumpshot. They could use another 3 point shooter on the team and now they’ve got one, he can defend solidly but that’s one thing the Clippers have lost by trading Brewer, his excellent defence.
Batum told the media that although this is already his 2nd trade of the year he has a good feeling about coming to the Clippers.
“I love the emotion and energy I’ve seen this team play with and I feel very privileged to now be a part of that”
Al Thornton of the Los Angeles Clippers has just made a big statement to his team regarding his role on the team after the addition of Nicolas Batum.
“The way I play is best fitted to a 6th man role. I can bring great energy to the court and spark the offence, this all came to my attention especially after we added Nicolas. I feel, even if we tested the idea out, that if Batum started and I came off the bench I could really add depth into the 2nd unit.
I’ve asked Coach Dunleavy to at least consider the change as I am almost certain that it will improve our team.” – Al Thornton
Thornton’s energy and hustle game could very well be the perfect weapon off the Clippers bench this season. To have Batum start and give the Clippers early range with his jump shot then Thornton coming off the bench to provide a spark, could be a very wise move for the Clippers this season.
Just hours later Coach Mike Dunleavy responded in the best possible way.
“I like it, lets do it. Al has made a lot of valid points and I’d like to see how it works out. Nobody says it will stay permanent but if it benefits us and works then we’ll stay with it.” – Coach Dunleavy

In perhaps another big decision, with the department of Corey Brewer the Clippers have belief in Dorel Wright and he will be the go to guy to guard tough opposition guards/forwards when needed too.
