Newly Appointed 6th Man, Thornton Goes Down Painfully

Al Thornton of the Clippers has suffered an ankle injury during his last game against Sacramento Kings. Thornton was showing his energy coming off the bench and it was almost as soon as he really started to get it going on offence the injury happened.

“It looked bad” said Clippers guard Eric Gordon. And the crowd thought so as well as they went silent for a second as Thornton fell hard. Unfortunately for Clippers fans Thornton has named to miss at least a few games and the only thing that will determine when he can return is how fast he recovers.

Perhaps the only good news, is the Clippers will be seeing more of role players Jawad Williams and Dorell Wright. Williams will see earlier minutes in Clippers next game against Bobcats because of his solid play in limited minutes. But it seems most likely that whoever plays better out of Wright, Williams or Butler will see the most court time.

Al Makes A Quicker Recovery Than Expected, Set To Return Against Kings

After going down with a ankle sprain that was orginally thought as severe the Clippers doctor assures the team that Thornton has made a full recovery.

Thornton has only missed a few games but the Clippers role players have stood up in his absense, saying this the team will be more than happy to have him back. Thornton his averaging 11.7 points off the bench this season as he has recently been appointed the role of a 6th man and it seems to be working to the Clippers advantage.

[Above] Tracy McGrady and Nate Robinson are two of the many stars that have been given a new start in a new city.

As the NBA Febuary deadline has recently passed a lot of new players are excited to start over in a new team. Some teams have said goodbye to long term stars of there association and others have just made very smart moves.

It gives a new look to the NBA every time trades are made and it's an exciting time of the year for NBA fans. Some big names who have been traded are the likes of Kevin Martin, Caron Butler, Josh Howard, Tracy McGrady, Antawn Jamison and Nate Robinson. But there have been plenty more deals made including one by the Clippers.

The Clippers have aquired Steve Blake from Portland and have waived Sebastion Telfair, Steve Blake unforutantely in his very first training sessions with his new team has sprained his wrist. But doctor's say its very minor and will hopefully be able to make his debut sometime next week.

It's been an exciting few days and hopefully the players that have been moved can make big impacts to there new teams.
