              Young Wants Out of Washington

              Young Wants Out of Washington

Nick Young could be on his way out of Washington.

Nick Young, the starting shooting guard for the Washington Wizards, has apparently been very unhappy with the amount of playing time he's received thus far, splitting time with DeShawn Stevenson.

Young has been averaging 12.1 points per game for the Wizards, and he hasn't been satisfied.

"Nick feels like he hasn't gotten what he deserves from the Washington organization," spoke Young's agent. "He no longer wants to play here."

It's not known how willing the Wizards are to trade Young at this point, but with the trade deadline only days away, they'll need to act fast.

"Nick is a great player. We'd hate to see him leave," said head coach Ed Tapscott. "However, if he doesn't want to be here, he can only hurt us more than he can help us."

Washington's next game will be against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Washington D.C.

idk, im going to look around for deals. young is terribly inconsistent, and i wouldn't mind letting him go if i found the right deal. stevenson is more reliable imo.

Heat Offer Cook, Anthony In Search of Young

Heat Offer Cook, Anthony In Search of Young

After hearing about Nick Young's unhappiness as a Wizard, the Miami Heat were the first team to make an offer for the second-year shooting guard.

Just days after winning the Footlocker 3-Point Shootout, guard Daequan Cook, along with young center Joel Anthony were offered for Nick Young.

The trade would give the Wizards their most consistent shooter, but Cook is a less dynamic offensive player than Young was. However, Young's inconsistency has been hurting the Wizards in close games, and they may be better off with DeShawn Stevenson taking over the starting job.

"What we know is that we have a very unhappy player who doesn't want to be here anymore," said Washington general manager Ernie Grunfeld. "Now we know that we have a very high-potential guy being offered for him. We'll keep our options open."

idk if im going to do it, but it would definitely help with the team chemistry. cook would be fine with taking a backseat to stevenson, and i dont really have a consistent three point shooter on my team now. idk though haha.

Wizards Accept; Send Young to Miami for Cook

Wizards Accept; Send Young to Miami for Cook

After two days of comtemplating on possible deals, the Washington Wizards decided to accept the first offer they received.

The Wizards sent shooting guard Nick Young to the Miami Heat in exchange for guard Daequan Cook and center Joel Anthony.

Young had been averaging 12.1 points per game as well as 2.1 assists per game for the Wizards during the year. He will now be backing up Dwyane Wade, the league's second leading scorer.

Daeqan Cook, who had been averaging 5.3 points per game for the Heat, will bring his 41% three-point percentage into Washington. Joel Anthony, the young unknown center from UNLV, has shown that he is able to rebound with 5.5 per game, as well as play defense with 1.5 blocks per game.

The trade should help the Wizards' team chemistry tremendously. Cook will be satisfied coming off of the bench to give DeShawn Stevenson the starting spot. The trade also gives Washington the consistent three-point shooter they didn't have before.

Nick Young, when happy, is one of the most dangerous scorers in the league. However, his inconsistency and cancerous personality for the Wizards forced them to part with the young guard. He will take his skills into Miami, where he will play under one of the league's best, Dwyane Wade.
