Betancourt and Gordon singled to start the inning, a double play ball to first got the runner at second, but was too late to

to center, scoring Betancourt.

Cameron walked and Beltre ground to left for a single, before Scutaro ground into a double play. But Ellsbury lined to
center for a single to score Cameron from third. Pedroia followed with a walk, and Martinez singled to center, scoring
Ellsbury from second.
Youkilis then hit his second home run of the year to right center, adding three more runs to the Sox lead, this still all
coming with two outs. Ortiz finally popped up to second for the last out.

DeJesus started the inning with a single, and scored on an Ankiel one-out double. Buccholz got the last two to ground

Buccholz walked DeJesus on four pitches, and in came Ramon Ramirez. Ramirez struck out Butler looking.

Ortiz singles with one out, but Tejada got the last two outs to end the inning.
Bottom 8th: Red Sox 7, Royals 3

walked. But Ramirez got Guillen to pop out to first, and Betancourt to ground into a double play to end the inning.
