Phils would trade Drabek if he's in the right package. Rangers might trade Smoak if they're getting Webb, but maybe Davis or Blalock would be more likely to go.

Not if I asked for other lesser prospects in return. The Jays wanted Drabek, Happ, Brown, and one other player. Getting two of those guys for Webb would be nice, not all four like it would take for Doc.Comment

ight i figured out what i can do.... since the O's traded Oscar Salazar to the Padres for Cla Meredith i figured i would do that but they wouldn't accept the trade unless i added in Ryan Freel (who doesn't play for the O's anymore anyway). should i do this?Comment

What I do is the trades that happen in real life...if the teams do not accept it in the game force them to ...because it happened in real life"Baseball is 90% mental, and the other half is physical. -Yogi BerraComment

Originally posted by Chad0034Yea, thats true, but I was thinking maybe the Twins would possibly give up Liriano in my franchise. They're not doing good at all, and Lirianos value has dropped in the past season or two. I want a guy that can spark my rotation, because as of now, its not really what I wanted. Peavy would've been perfect, but since im doing every trade that happened in real life, Im not going to be doing the Peavy deal.
So my best bet IMO are to either trade ALL my top prospects for Halladay, trade a few for Liriano, or find another pitcher to go after. Any ideas?

Okay, so I am only 5 games into the season...but my starts after Peavy and Buehrle are pretty bad..(I am the Chicago White Sox...) any idea who I could trade to get and with that trade away to get him?"Baseball is 90% mental, and the other half is physical. -Yogi BerraComment

Your starters are bad? Gavin Floyd and John Danks are two of the better #3/#4 guys you can find in the AL...Comment

Hmm..maybe it was just a bad start..and me getting used to their pitches...Floyd actually was doing good until he left with a finger injury..will be fine for his next start though..."Baseball is 90% mental, and the other half is physical. -Yogi BerraComment

In my Giants chise, I've been trying to get rid of Bengie Molina. I've looked into trading him to either the Royals or the Padres. I want to get Callaspo and Hochevar from the Royals or Chad Gaudin and Evereth Cabrera from the Padres. Miguel Olive, the starting catcher for the Royals, is hitting under .180 and so Molina could possibly fill in and be an upgrade. The Padres starting catcher is Nick Hundley and he isn't that great, so Molina would be an upgrade over him. Which trade seems more realistic? I can provide statistics if necessary.Last edited by Mit; 08-06-2009, 07:23 PM.Comment

depends on their records. Both teams don't seem like they're in a position to give up prospects for an older catcher when they aren't going anywhere.Comment

I'm playing MVP Baseball 05.
Does this seem fair? The Blue Jays and the Indians are not in contention, yet I do like this trade. Bengie Molina must go; if you think this trade isn't fair, then suggest which team Bengie Molina should go to. As of right now, the Padres, Cards, Cubs, Reds, Phillies, Mets, Angels, A's, Twins, Tigers, White Sox, Yankees, Red Sox, and Rays are in contention. I would like to deal both Molina and Winn; I would like to get a power hitter and a reliever back.
Giants Receive:
3B Andy Marte (MLB Backup - .273 BA, 0 HR, 0 RBI, 4 R)
RP Bryan Bullington (AA Reliever - 2-2, 30 IP, 30 K, 3.30 ERA, 15 SV)
Blue Jays Receive:
C Bengie Molina (MLB Backup - .187, 1 HR, 7 RBI, 4 R)
RP Kirk Sarloos (AA Reliever - 3-2, 55.2 IP, 40 K, 3.23 ERA, 3 SV)
Indians Receive:
LF Randy Winn (.291 BA, 2 HR, 16 RBI, 39 R, 28 SB)
T.J. Beam (A Reliever - 0-4, 47.1 IP, 37 K, 4.18 ERA, 0 SV)Last edited by Mit; 08-07-2009, 11:05 AM.Comment
