Would it be realistic in my Braves 'chise to trade Detroit a B prospect (Cole Rohrbough, very promising starter) for Dontrelle Willis? D-Train is in Triple-A for the Tigers but he would be on my major league club, probably as a long reliever but I may move him into my 5th starter spot and move either Kawakami or Hanson to the 'pen, more likely Hanson.

It would make a nice storyline, trying to revive Willis' career. Plus, he would give me (most likely) a nice lefty presence in my rotation, which I don't have atm. Thoughts?

You got to remember the Tigers wrapped up a nice bit of stock in D-Train, you might be looking at a 2 for 1 deal?

I doubt anyone would take Vernon Wells, unless they were really hurting for a DH. Trading Halladay to the Braves for what in return?

Good point. And by 2 for 1 do you mean me sending two players to the Tigers and getting D-Train in return or the other way around?

                  Dodgers give up:
                  SP Clayton Kershaw
                  2B Blake DeWitt (in AAA)
                  LF Andrew Lambo (in AAA)

San Diego would give up only Jake Peavy.

It would definitely bolster my rotation by giving me Peavy, Kuroda, Wolf, Billingsley and Stults/McDonald
I know Peavy is a stud, but why would you trade away a future ace and two decent players?

OK looking to get Adrien Beltre from the 27-71 M's, which makes sense, here's two deals I was thinking of:

                    Toronto Gets:
                    3B Adrien Beltre

                    Seattle Gets:
                    SP Jesse Litsch
                    3B Kevin Ahrens
                    RP Jesse Carlson

                    ----------------------------

                    Toronto Gets:
                    3B Adrien Beltre

                    Seattle Gets:
                    3B Jose Bautista
                    SP Jesse Litsch
                    RP Mike Maroth

                    What deal is better?

Probably the 2nd one cause they get a pretty good 3B in return.

You sending two players. They'll need a starter so maybe a AAA prospect that could come in for them from the get-go. Or maybe your 4th, 5th man in rotation. That coupled with a young prospect should do the trick, anyone else with thoughts?

Yeah, I was at least going to be sending Rohrbough (AAA B potential SP) over there, maybe I could add a semi-decent hitting prospect?

I'm thinking now about a Peavy deal, though...trying not to add Hanson in there but I might have to. Probably get rid of Escobar, too...he's been terrible recently.

Yep. Yunel is batting like .255 with 1 HR and 6 RBI's in 21 games, mostly out of the 2 spot in the lineup. Sandwiched in between Kelly Johnson (.365 and on a tear) and Chipper (.427, best in NL), if I could get more production out of that slot I would be much better off. Yunel just isn't getting it done and he leads the team in errors.

Prado would probably play short with Infante being my utilityman off the bench.

I'm hoping they'll accept a Mike Gonzalez-Escobar-Medlen package, but we'll see. Just trying to work around giving up Hanson.

no they wont, theyll settle for a not as flashy deal from someone not from the nl west if it comes down to it

id bet 100000000 dollars on that, theres no way they want to face him 6-7 times a year
