Injury woes for the United States
WASHINGTON D.C. -- Michael Bradley has been removed from the U.S.A. squad after suffering a bruised head, along with Jay DeMerit after he suffered a hip injury. Andy Najar and Geoff Cameron have been called up to replace them.

U.S.A. edge out opponents in close encounter
CHICAGO -- The United States won a hard fought battle against Poland on a fine autumn even at Soldier Field.
Midfielder Rafal Murawski gave Poland the lead with a screamer from well outside the area in the 30th minute. Winger Brad Davis then equalized for the United States in the 72nd minute with a well struck effort. Center-back Oguchi Onyewu scored what proved to be the winner for the home side in the 78th minute with a close range header.

U.S.A. struggle to draw
SEATTLE -- The United States came close to suffering an unexpected defeat at the hand of Colombia at Qwest Field Tuesday night.
Striker Edson Buddle got U.S.A. off to a flyer by scoring an incisive finish after just one minute. Strong center-back Aquivaldo Mosquera equalized for Colombia after 11 minutes with a fine header from point-blank range. Experienced center-back Ivan Cordoba's red card for a vicious foul in the 20th minute put Colombia's position under question.

WASHINGTON D.C. -- The United States squad for the friendly match against South Africa has been selected by coach Bob Bradley.
Bradley has used this game as an opportunity to recall a number of familiar players, including Heath Pearce, Bobby Boswell, Charlie Davies and Logan Pause. Cameroonian defensive midfielder Tony Tchani, who is eligible for the United States, is named in the squad and could make his first appearance for his new nation.
Robbie Findley has been withdrawn from the squad by his club Salt Lake. Herculez Gomez has been called up in his place.

I think Howard would've been good to go for the South Africa game but decided to keep on rolling with Guzan. Trying to get some of the younger guys some playing time alongside the veterans. Gonzalez and Franklin are playing pretty well together and may continue to get the start in friendlies, same with Brad Davis.
