I've struggled against the Sox on the road. They would be fun to play as though, teams got a lot of good talent.

I would love to do in-game pics, and highlights. However, PS2 doesn't come with a camera.

        More Bad News For Clippers

Columbus, OH - The Columbus Clippers announced today that RF Tyler Romano will be placed on the DL List once more, this season.

Romano, during the game went down grabbing his right foot on an attempt to chase down a fly ball. Instantly he hit the grass and the trainers made their way to him as soon as play was stopped. Romano was just days away from being called up by the Cleveland Indians.

A fixture in Columbus since the season began. Romano was being scouted for his MLB readiness in July. The Indians don't have any true RF on hand in their MLB Organization, and Romano was looking at getting some playing time off the bench. That is until he went down on July 4th with a fractured shin that he suffered sliding into second base.

"Tyler is one of those players with a boat load of talent, and he's only 20 years old." Manager Eric Wedge said. "We were looking at him in June, and when the calendar turned the plan was to have him by the All-Star break. When we got news of that injury, we were surprised."

How big was the surprise when Romano went down the second time? "Huge, our new plan was to have him on the roster for the last half of the month." commented Wedge. "Now it's looking like we won't get to see him this season."

Romano was the top prospect in Columbus. Now that belongs to All-Star (AAA) Second baseman, Cedrick Roman. "We don't have any second baseman besides 'AC'" said GM Mark Shapiro, about Asdrubal "AC" Cabrera. Shapiro and Wedge meet monthly to discuss the roster moves. "Cedrick might make an appearance during a long push, we need AC ready for playoffs. The only thing for certain? We won't see Tyler Romano this season. And that's our concern right now."

            Getting One Back!

            Peralta's big homer, the difference.

AP - Chicago, IL - No homer was more important than the one Jhonny Peralta hit. It was the difference maker in the game today and got the Indians the win. More importantly it was his 100th Career homer. It landed safely back onto the field RF Jermain Dye made sure Jhonny got his ball.

"It's a milestone in his young career. Jhonny came on and people wanted him to fill those shoes. Everyone still remembers Omar Vizquel and the job he did. They expect that from Jhonny and it's not fair. Today, was his day." Said teammate Grady Sizemore about the short stop.

Sizemore and Willingham also added home runs on the day. Opposite them, Dye and Fields both went yard for the Chicago White Sox. A home run filled evening ended with the Indians on top 7-5. And getting the game they lost to the White Sox back. The rubber match to be played tomorrow.

"Every time we beat them, we keep them further from the playoffs. That's what we want to be, the only AL Central representative." Said Manager Eric Wedge. "Today, we got another game closer to accomplishing that goal."

Thanks. I like Cabrera for his defense, rather than his bat. He gets on base now and then, doesn't score a whole lot of runs, and drives in a decent amount. He's at 31 RBI on the season, he's been healthy and gets a lot of playing time.

I was getting ready to do an article about him coming up and I simmed the rest of the day and he went down with injury, again. On my team chart he's ranked 18th for OVR. Just didn't really have a need for him until I realized that I'm thin in RF, for the future.

1-2 months. I put him on the 15day DL, I'll do it again when his time is up. If he's not recovered by then he'll be gone till next season.

                        Big 8th, Indians Win!

Carmona, Martinez, and pitching coach Willis have a discussion on the mound in the ninth.

AP - Chicago, IL - The question in the AL Central now is, "Can anyone beat the Indians?" In their nine games against central opponents in the month of August, the Tribe have won eight of these match-ups. Two on the road. Their only blunder was the opening game of their series against the Chicago White Sox. It's safe to say, the Indians are continuing their roll.

While the gears shift towards a playoff push. The Indians remain relatively lax about their win today. "We've got a lot of baseball to play." Said Grady Sizemore. "We're at the sprinting part of this marathon. It's not the end though, we're not to the finish line yet. Still have to come on strong through the next month and a half." The Indians are coming on strong all right.

While the AL Central race gets more and more one sided, one only has to look to the AL East to see that the race is getting tighter. With the Rays holding the wild card lead, the Yankees behind them, and the Orioles behind them, 3.5 games back. It's safe to say that there is a lot of good baseball yet to be played.

The Indians will host AL West opponents The Rangers, Angels and Mariners in the coming week. They'll have a three game series with the Twins in Minnesota as well.

                        Lineup:

                        CF Sizemore 3-5 | 1K

                            Key Bank's "Keys to Succes"

1.) Home Field - The Indians didn't travel well when the season started, they dropped two of three against Texas in Arlington. Knowing that they're at home and winning at home is important. A series victory here will end the season series at 3 a piece.

2.) Defense - Texas takes advantage of mistakes. They have a very solid line-up that could pound pitchers. Keeping runners off the bases will be important for the Tribe to seal the victory.

3.) Long Ball - The Indians as of late have been finding the long-ball. They could build on that with this series and continue their climb towards the playoffs. The long-ball will be key in putting games away late in the season and into playoff baseball.

                                Number 70!

Manager Eric Wedge watches as his club gets win number 70 on the year.

AP - Cleveland, OH - And the Tribe just keep rolling. With a win over the Texas Rangers the Cleveland Indians added another W to the column. Getting 70 this soon was unthinkable at the begining of the season. The Indians however, have done just that and are focused on completing the remaining 50 games.

"We're ready." Said Left Fielder Josh Willingham. "We're ready to finish up this job and get into the post-season. We know we still have 50 games left but we're eager to get done and get there, you know? It's hard for us to not thing about anything else other than the post-season."

While some think the Indians are way ahead of themselves manager Eric Wedge likes where his team's focus is at. "We're winning a lot of games and that's how you get to the post-season. For them to be thinking about the playoffs now? I don't mind it. It's a nice mood to be sitting in front of people who put Playoffs and Cleveland in the same sentence."

While we're still a couple months from the playoffs the Indians bettered there chances of getting in tonight with another solid win.
