Orioles Pull Off Trade That Improves Their Bullpen

Baltimore, MD -- The Orioles pulled off a trade today that improved their bullpen and got rid of a player who wasn't playing anyway. Baltimore sent RF Ryan Freel and 1B Oscar Salazar to the San Diego Padres for RP Cla Meredith and 1B Kyle Blanks. Meredith will pitch out of the O's bullpen and Blanks will replace Salazar down in AAA Norfolk. Meredith has a record of 0-1 with an ERA of 2.73 in 27 appearances and Blanks is hitting with a .255 average and 25 RBI. Meredith may make his first appearance in the O's next series against the Mariners.

dam, i had a no hitter through 7.1 innings and the next batter hits a ball to left center and they give me the centerfielder to control when it should have been the leftfielder. i didn't switch in time and the ball dropped
