So I just finished Season 4 and I know I'm late to the party but that camera zooming at the end was insane. At first I thought it was just an exterior shot to close it off and then as it got closer I realized what it meant. Walt's transformation has been one of the best I've ever seen. He might be the greatest TV character of all time. This is definitely one of the best shows ever too. I've got no idea what will happen in season 5, but I've got no doubt it is going to be awesome.

I finally got around to watching the last four episodes of this past season. I loved it and of it's still my favorite current show, but that bomb scene was just ridiculous. Gus walking out with half his face blown off and straightening his tie was :turrible:

That was one of the best scenes of the season.

You guys can't be serious? It was so ridiculous. Zero chance that would ever happen. Everything else that has been on the show is completely plausible (that I can recall) but that was just Looney Tunes cartoon level shit. Bush league.

wasnt meant to be entirely plausible, it was meant to give a final "awesome" sendoff to the best character on the show. Gus always made sure to look his best, straighten his tie and look his best.

a bit of suspension of disbeleif is required with anything that is, you know, fiction :P

I hear you. And I'm not saying it wasn't cool, because it was. But right after seeing it and thinking to myself "Whoa, cool", even though I had said to my wife "Watch, the other half of his face will be blown off", I then thought "C'mon Breaking Bad, you can do better than that."

Like I said, it was cool but it just seemed really out of place on a show that is grounded in reality.

the annoying part of the finale was that they needed to make it obvious where the plant came from.

Still the best show on TV with Boardwalk Empire.

with an amazing character like Gus, you can't just kill him or get rid of him. he needs to be taken out like that. up until that point, he wAs untouchable and a ridiculous way to take him out was the only option. They pulled it off flawlessly. you're in the minority with your thoughts on Gus's death.
