Walt is gunna take a liking to Todd. Walt is a firm believer in taking out ANYONE who stands in their way. It was also awesome to see Bill Burr back.

Except that Walt actually has morals. He's not afraid of taking out any bad guy in his way but he tries to avoid collateral damage and civilian casualties at all costs.

Looks like someone has missed three seasons of character development.

Do you not remember him poisoning a little kid? Neglecting to prevent Jane from dying? Manipulating and lying to Jesse all the time to coerce him into committing unspeakable acts? More or less raping Skyler and emotionally/mentally abusing her?

God damn, are you even watching the same show?

Jesse seems to be the only one with morals in the crew.

It's almost as if Walt & Jesse have transitioned in complete opposite directions from the first season to the fifth season. Walt is pure evil and drunk with power now, while Jesse probably wouldn't think twice about leaving the whole business behind.

Jesse is absolutely the sympathetic character now. After Gale's murder he has been completely horrified with himself and consumed by guilt. He is constantly trying to find a way to reign Walt in, mainly to preserve his own sanity.

I definitely think their individual reactions to Landry/Todd's act will be the beginning of their rift. Walt will indirectly approve of what Todd did, maybe not explicitly but in a "what's done is done" type of attitude. Whether or not Walt would have made the same call, he will acknowledge that the outcome is favorable for their operation. ("Nothing stops this train. Nothing.")

Mike has seen through Walt this whole time, but Jesse can't see him for what he is due to admiration and loyalty for his teacher/mentor/partner. But if Jesse finds out even a fraction of the things Walt has done to him, he'll understandably despise him and want him dead.

And that is the thing I've been waiting for since "The Fly" episode where I thought Walt was going to confess in his drugged/sleep deprived state. I think Jesse is going to snap once he finds out that Walt could have saved Jane, let alone about poisoning Brock. I think there's just so much crazy shit that's going to go down starting from the end of that last episode for the remaining 10 episodes.

It just hit me like a ton of bricks.

Skylar is gonna die to the ricen. Whether or not it's on purpose who knows but shit will hit the fan once she dies most likely forcing Walt to go on the run.

Did they ever say why Mike was discharged from the police force or are we just led to believe it was something bad?

I don't believe they've ever given a reason, but I mean...you can only guess he was a pretty dirty cop.
