Probably should've worded it better to "Preety boys and talentless hacks"

      No worse than wrestling.

And now they have actually got round to doing them properly, inspired probably Batman Begins showing you can do gritty and real (well, as real as you can get) and still bank a nice fat box office return for the studio. Hence all the reboots.

My point, is most of these movies are really bad. Just like most wrestling these days.

Which newer Super Hero movies haven't sucked?

            Batman Begins
            Watchmen
            Ironman
            The Dark Knight

That's all that i can think of.

They were, but with Dark Knight, Iron Man, Nortons Hulk and what not, we've seen they've started doing them properly. Casting actors with acting ability (Bale, Downey Jr, Norton) who actually fit the lead role and doing more dark adaptations, rather than just putting in Ben Affleck in a skin tight suit and giving him a gimmicky villian to fight.

Green Lantern is going to be sweet. Ryan Reynolds can act when he's not doing a romantic comedy.

                    Ehh...

Ben Affleck has a better body of work when it comes to serious rolls. They kind of are the same, I mean both play one roll pretty good. In Reynolds case its the "smart-ass."

Green Lantern is going to need a solid performance by Reynolds or it will end up being just like Iron Man 2, full of one liners, explosions and no substance.

Believe it or not Superman Returns is actually a continuation of the Superman movies with Christopher Reeve, it picks up where II left off in some sort of alternate reality where the events of III and IV didn't happen.

didn't see it but I saw HBII and it was shitty

                              PLOT POINT Revealed!?!?

Darren Aronofsky, who now looks to be closing in on WOLVERINE 2, was initially far more interested in SUPERMAN than Fox's upcoming X-MEN ORIGINS movie. In their evaluation of the matter, there's a brief descriptor offering what may be our first hint at the nature of the new SUPES picture...

"Until last weekend, though, Aronofsky was far more interested in directing WB's original take on Superman — in which Clark Kent is a journalist traveling the world trying to decide if he should, in fact, even become Superman ."
Merrick here Paul over at JoBlo caught a fascinating little tidbit in THIS Vulture piece about political machinations leading to Zack Snyder's selection as director of the new SUPERMAN film. Vulture says that Darren Aronofsky, who now...

                                I think that works.

Hal Jordan's whole persona is that he's supposed to be this jackass who doesn't think things through. Basically the anti-Batman.

I truly think Reynolds will pull it off.

                                Hate the costume though.

Would love to see a Rachel McAdams as Lois.
