Lulz...can't wait to see this dude's reviews when characters really start dropping like flies. Renly, Joffrey, Tywin, Caytlen, Robb...fucking shit, I can't wait for everything to hit the fan.

The dragon's were even more well done than I expected them to be. The whole scene was.

The ONLY thing I wasn't pleased with was how EARLY the King of the North part was. I get why they did it, and overall it was a fantastic episode, but still, I loved that part so much in the books, I just sort of wanted it to be up there with the birth of the dragons.

I love how much they make Robb a central figure in this too...he is obviously a plot force in the books, but you never see shit through his POV in the books (since he isn't one) like you do in the show.

I think that you'll be okay NAHSTE. Honestly, there is very little in the first book that isn't covered in the first season. If anything, you learn more from the first season than the first book (little side stories at least).

Read it though! Great stuff. Ned's death won't be as intense but it's great stuff.

Honestly, I don't think there is a better show on TV right now. I love Breaking Bad, Justified and Sons of Anarchy but Game of Thrones is the only show I constantly think about during the week and highly anticipate each episode. Its nuts. It also helps that unlike other shows, anything can happen at any minute. You just cant get that sort of thing from any other show.
