The promos for Vampire Diaries, and fuck...the name of it, it did a turrible job of trying to sell itself.

I'd much rather a Vampire "show" to be set back 100 years ago, something akin to Interview with the Vampire perhaps? True Blood is "ok", I just watch it for the rockin tits really.

I agree with the promo and title sucking.


I wish they had a more realistic Vampire show. Not like the new crop of Vampires who all have crazy powers.

The Vampire Diaries has the unfortunate assumption that it's one big love triangle, but it's much more then that. The history of the town is pretty damn sweet and the characters and their backgrounds are interesting and well thought out story-wise. The episode "Blood Brothers" which revealed how the two Salvatore brothers became vampires is amazingly shocking. That's just one of many epic moments on the show, which unfairly gets passed over simply because its on The CW.

Yeah I love how it takes place in a small town where the families have lived for generations.

The "Diaries" part doesn't refer to some girl writing stuff down about her day. They refer to the 200 year old diaries where the founding families recorded important history and secrets about witches and the vampires. These books greatly dictate what happens in the show.


Also since the families have been in the town for so long, nearly every character has a important background or ancestry. Even the dumbest characters belong to interesting families that have been hunting down vampires for generations.
As the show goes on these kids all slowly begin to learn of their past and get involved in the action.


Like I said I'm well aware of the gay shows I watch and I'd never recommend them. However this isn't one of them.

Mad Men - Does anyone else watch this show? It has a lot of drama, but the time period is fascinating and the subtle humor in it gets to me. We have watched the first three seasons this semester, with six episodes left of season 4. Anyone else watch this show?

i like pawn stars as well. i watched an episode this week, the guy had pete rose baseball cards he was trying to sell. they were fake. he left empty handed. i like storage wars as well. i havent watched csi-miami in a minute. my girl has me watching the real housewives of atlanta and beverly hills. that shit is funny.......

Storage Wars can be interesting. Barry is the fucking man. I'm not sure what time they show new episodes, but there always seems to be a marathon going when I'm drunk at two in the morning.
