Just saw Part 1 of Deathly Hallows. After recently viewing the first 7 movies my list would be thus:
1. Prisoner of Azkaban (only Harry Potter book I've ever read all of)
2. Order of the Phoenix (Voldemort ftw)
3. Half-Blood Prince
4. Deathly Hallows Part 1
5. Goblet of Fire
6. Chamber of Secrets
7. Sorcerer's Stone
And I'm sure Part 2 will overtake the #1 spot. Voldemort ftwComment

The issues with the movies that I have, and really, they've all been fine, despite no clear cut great flick from the group is that Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix were real hatchet jobs in that the story was fine, but they weren't able to elaborate on it much at all.
The first two movies held to the books for the most part, outside of some liberties taken as a director, but after that, the films starting to pack too much into a small time frame.
Azkaban was solid. But after that, Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix...needed a lot more time. Half-Blood Prince was fine as they did a fine job editing and getting the meat of the story, although suffered similarly as the two before it.
This last film was smart in that is divided it up as two films, with a lot of slow, mood capturing scenes in 2h15m of film before they really let the last film run with the important shit.Comment

It was not bad I suppose, a little light-hearted considering what it's about. Very 70's-feeling.Comment

I haven't seen it yet, but Jake Gyllenhaal was being interviewed when Source Code first came out and was talking up a storm how he thought the other ending they shot was so much better and that he hopes Duncan Jones includes it on the Blu Ray/DVD.Comment

Thats right, I have a 4year old son that wanted to see it so his dad takes him to the movies.
And yeah when you go into a movie thinking its going to be terrible and I laughed, its not that fucking bad. So you and Palooza can blow me.Comment

i'd blow you if it meant you never express your opinion on movies again.Comment
